Americans have been getting Bitcoin cheaper than the rest of the world for 50 straight days. That is a record.
The Coinbase Bitcoin Premium Index has been negative since May 19, sitting around -0.07 percent as of July 7-8. Bitcoin costs less on Coinbase than on Binance. The streak just beat the prior record of 40 straight negative days.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs bled about $6 billion year to date through early July, including $2.6 billion in just nine trading days late June. A combined $282 million inflow across Bitcoin and Ether ETFs broke an eight week outflow streak in mid July. The Coinbase premium stayed negative through all of it.
When the premium stays negative like that, US demand trails international. CoinGlass tracks it because the spread is thin but stubborn. The bid returning is not the question. The level is the question. IBIT inflows are the scoreboard.
