I'd long decided that my next car would be whatever works with comma.AI. It's insane to me how shit the self driving capabilities on most new cars are.
Honda can't make a turn more than 10° of your steering wheel. It constantly will lose track of the lines and disable steering completely. How is this better than taking a best guess? It's not like its even able to yank the wheel more than a slight turn. It will nag you for not touching the wheel, then if you ignore it it will disable lane keep. It won't touch cruise control though. So if you fell asleep at the wheel while on CC + lane keep, it will keep you going full speed off the road and into a barrier.
GM is genuinely a scam and worse than not having it. A couple years back I rented a pacifica and the lanekeep genuinely doesn't steer. At all. It is enabled, and it shows the lane detected, but it never moved the wheel an inch in hours of trying. Then on a 2206 model it somehow got even worse. Lane keep will jerk the car back into lane, but no jerk back or centering so the car will just ping pong right to left in lane, worse every time until it can't turn enough and you fly out the lane. These people are genuinely evil for selling cars with this.

Was a small tribute to the twilight zone and the outer limits. One of the two if not both used to incorporate distinct themes in each episode. I may have to revisit those gems.
Think of a wave, how it forms. The water level drops as the wave builds up. The smaller the surfer ridding the wave the more they are oblivious to the scale of the final form of the wave.
