When I was very young, I would pray to the literal Christian god for my parents stop fighting every night.
Eventually they broke up so instead of yelling mean things at each other, each could sit little 8-year-old me down for hours and explain in detail what a terrible person the other was, leading me to trust neither of them.
So you might say my prayer was answered, only I'm not sure by who or what, although if you're talking Christian mythology, I just might have a hunch 😄
