"Computer Power and Human Reason" was published in 1976 and described the gambling mentality of most computer programmers, and that was 50 years ago. AI doesn't change anything except that you can gamble more efficiently.
The same narrative is spun any time a new layer of development abstraction is added to the stack. But what they never do is make professionalism optional. Which is why I recommend it.

Still no nostr-login possible (without email).
Guess I have to only donate anonymously from now on. That's probably better for privacy anyway, so thanks?

It is gambling indeed but with useful results fast if I'm lucky. Or slow if not. Either way I spend more with the product and less with the code which is a good thing. Soon, these LLMs will definitely out-code any coder so coding with your own hands will be like knitting socks. Sure, you can do it and it's a nice feeling and people will pretend to appreciate your effort but machines will do it better faster cheaper.

I don't blame the elites, it's the only world they've known. like so many of us, we've constructed our world based on what we were born into. for the "little guy" the "picket fence" dream turned into the "McMansion" somewhere along the line. #kardashian But, through all of it, it's #people making choices. every day we're bombarded with new information and so many are stuck in the McMansion world. like the Matrix or WallE, there will be people choosing to continue what they've always done. even if they could change, they won't.
I blame everyone, all along the line. middle management could take over, easily, but we're so divided by the dichotomy, which is by their old, old old, waaay back, design, the little guy will get bigger as will the elites, the divide widens.

LOL, thanks for the unmute! 🙂
9:41 today for me. I can't keep spending this much time on these...
I'm going to tell you what the most convenient thing to do is: just do it yourself. Use the ai as an assistant but just write the code yourself. Why are you wasting your time gambling?
Everytime it declares all tasks done I spend time telling it what's wrong and it breaks stuff, too, so it would really be convenient if it wouldn't need my prompt attention to figure out it missed the mark again.
Makes sense that he was part of the scene, maybe
Too bad, but I only spend my sats with merchants who can see my notes!
I would, but @npub1cwh…ujc5 still has me muted for some unknown reason. 🫤
Because you have to accept the code it writes? If you don't, then the users do. And users aren't your quality assurance team unless you're a dirtbag.

@npub18am…p424 did you just restart this relay, or something?
This is about what it is like to be a tourist, in the USA.
I mean, it's not impossible...just shockingly fast
I coud, but.... no thanks.
They are really, really, really fuckin' slow, compared to other, newer, better laptops that I own.
So if there's a need for another system, I got some room for that.
This is great jerky. Get some!

You'd better not have gotten a 3
I still can't believe you halved my time yesterday. I did it on desktop and pretty much got all the words on first try (mostly). HOW?!
Another tattered suit in the near future 🔮
Hmm. Okay, but they get to have their own opinion, not their own bishops.
We were there in mid-March and were surprised how few tourists were there. And that was before the war. 🤷♀
Look at these beauties!

The HP Omnibook 6100 was actually the first laptop I ever bought. It came with a Pentium3-1000 and 512MB RAM, not much, but enough to run win2k and later even bitcoin-qt.
The Asus EeePC 1000H already had 1GB Ram, but its Atom CPU isn't really much (or any) better than the P3-1000. Again just about enough power to run bitcoin on it back in the days.
There was a time when both of them mined about 1-2 Blocks per day.
Sounds like a joke, doesn't it? But that's all you needed in 2010 to start mining, just some CPU that works, no matter how fast or slow.
And the best part: they both still work!
On the Omnibook a display hinge is broken and oc both batteries are dead, but besides that they still work just fine ~20years later.

They've been protesting Novus Ordo Missae so loudly, for so long, that they're basically Protestants, now. 🤷♀
Excommunication is something a person does to themselves. It's not a punishment.
