Unfortunately open source BIOS not supported on our laptops. We do some bios hardening and full disk encryption, and the majority of our privacy and hardening is at the OS level.
One day soon we'll do OSS firmware, but right now its not as big of a threat than the OS layer. I'll probably make another post about this topic soon .
We will not comply with age verification or pass that on to customers full stop. We are currently working on a systemdless version of our OS for the laptops.
We use no third parties across our infrastructure when dealing with customer info, its all self-hosted. You can always request to delete all your personal info, leaving an email so we know to support you.

Growing up we just follow in line with the current system not really understanding it. Just thinking the price of things go up and that's okay. But the value of these items didn't go up. The thing to which you are measuring it with changed. They were stretching the ruler and once you see that you can never unsee it.
