For me works well but you should be able to downgrade downloading a previous version from GitHub
Sorry 🥺. I will think of you while enjoying my tasty morsels 🫂
Many fun solutions start as stupid ideas.
i might call that planning and preparation, with awareness of the badness

I'd rather have local police patrol the area 24/7 than have spy cameras everywhere. In fact, that's what they originally did and were probably closer to the community (actually serving them). That's where "walking a beat" came from. Now they're just on call state thugs so we need fucking cameras everywhere?

Still you didn't explain blossom which would be just as important
Can be mitigated with a little creativity. I've yet to see a compelling argument against the suggested stack compared to what they use today
You inspired me to keep an even better watch on my town.

Hell, a lot of these companies actually sell the data. Why would they give a fuck about protecting it?
Yeah. Retards. Let them keep playing the DNS whac-a-mole game
One reason to take an absolute minimum approach to data storage. A good engineer knows that perfect protection is unlikely.
Especially today. There are options. But that isn't the business model for many companies. They make money by being as invasive as possible. And usually in a careless way. Many data breaches happen because of carelessness and a cultural view that storing everything forever is okay.
AML/KYC bullshit is an example of this imposed by law and that gets leaked too. It's a pure example of unnecessary data storage leading to harm for no benefit to the company or the consumer. Even states sometimes lose data, and they arguably have the most resources to protect it.

And I was on board for the first two weeks. Then I reevaluated the evidence and changed my course very early on. Many didn't and couldn't muster the courage to admit that. They were guided by fear and raw emotion. I guess you can call it sunk cost, but many people demonstrate an unwillingness to turn back at a certain point. They'll do anything to not admit it. That's the cowardice I see. Pushing forward prevents them from having to admit they were wrong. Some people try to save face by stopping but not really acknowledging that they were wrong. We saw that with many politicians.

this will succeed because users can conveniently send value over their preferred network.
all using the self custodial wallets that they are accustomed to.
why nostr devs think this is bad and MORE confusing that onboarding everyone to custodial LN is beyond me.

we each have a limited worry and stress budget. save it for the real stuff: actual bad things WILL happen to you and people you care about, so don't blow your budget on anxiety about what **could be**. because when you're faced with what **actually is** you won't be able to step up to meet the challenge with your best. an optional, self-inflicted wound added on top of the inevitable circumstances that you cannot control.
I think there's some merit to that. "Useful idiot?"
There are also different forms of cowardice and life or death isn't always the situation (it rarely is).
There's intellectual cowardice, and that's more aligned with what I'm talking about in this note. It's the most destructive form and yes, it generally comes from the smarter people. They're just smart enough to lead people into danger but just dumb enough to do it. The mid wits. The most likely to be cowards when the time comes to face up to being wrong.

It is WAY more effective than any other method I've used. The effective range is longer than a housefly startle distance so your number of misses and fly aways is much lower.

Yeah I should probably walk that back. But it all feels like software systems are just permanently exploitable no matter what safeguards you put in place.
Dude must have a pharmacy full of pills for that 😂
As usual, you've implemented "my" idea 😋
This was partially my point when I asked if Globe lived in the US. I was being facetious, but it's actually true for anyone who doesn't embrace the city life. Which is a lot of people here. And if we're being honest, those big city people wouldn't survive if everyone in the US lived the exact same lifestyle. At least not with how things work right now.
