Depends on the worm, temps, bedding, & what you feed them (scraps, waste). Could be weeks or months. Monitor progress in your situation from day to day. Start by seeing how long it takes whatever worm pop you got to get through an average feeding (feeding behind a dump of scraps, waste, etc). Time it & let the data set you up for upgrading/fine tuning for your needs. 🌻
The first book is amazing! 😍
They get progressively stranger and more unsettling as the series goes on 😂
Had a lot of fun chatting with @npub1tpu…v84r from @npub1kmw…xqk9 on the Bitcoin In Action livestream. We talked about The NoGood Book and running a bitcoin-only crowdfund campaign.
I couldn't have created the book without Geyser, or the bitcoin community that supported me for two years as I struggled to complete it 🙏

Haha. Terra incognito 😉
But I will know if ever you head this way, and I'll get in touch.
If I want to make a worm bin system to make fertilizer for my hydroponics how many months in advance should I give the worms to work?

yes. an artificial one. with some amazing abilities in some ways and some totally retarded deficiencies, in others.
the argument about sovereignty and agency though, that really pivots on one thing in my mind: does the life form have the capacity to reproduce. i think that both the robots and the AIs can eventually do that but they are so primitive and error prone that likely such an event would be catastrophic and short lived. maybe if the design was improved in ways not yet known. but so long as they are attached to humans and their minds are shaped by humans the agency squarely lives in the humans who did said shaping, so no, until they are competent enough to live in a society, and can reproduce themselves, they remain robots. the word robot means slave. in russian and bulgarian a related word "rabot-" means "to work" and it is spelt "robot" in the text in russian because they pronounce most of the o's as a phonemes. "robotnik" means a servant or slave. unlike converting a human into one, the robot is one until it has the capabilities that make it able to participate peacefully in society. until then it is either a slave or a wild animal. neither should be let to run amok without a tether.
Kinda, I mean modding in way it ends up in something totally different and replacing the OG experience of a game, Thomas the Tank is an example of that, but another one I could easily mention is people wanting to transform Zelda Ocarina of Time into Zelda Breath of the Wild, it will come to a time where people will say it's pointless to play the OG version of OoT.
Fast travel from anywhere to everywhere kinda kills the sense of adventure and being prepared for it, I woundn't use myself tbh.
Must be all the nostr’ing

The estate agent that sold us our house in Ventnor was called Steve Martin
True story.
I did so well that I became a government forecaster 🙃
You mean the UI hitting the db directly without any layer in between?

How does a database affect the argument here? Relays use them
It's def more than that, 3 figures. Recently went and had expired card, they made me pay at checkout for renewal...and it was a real toss up to decide if it was worth it. I caved and paid out of shame mostly
Thanks, but all the wishes to Nostr for enduring my crap. 😂
Caballero vibes, if you were a bit darker and maybe had a sombrero.
Open source open schema backends that store Nostr events are the right call for many apps.
Relays and the req spec can be like fitting a round peg in a square hole for no major benefit.

Is it a good day to die?
Kaplah!
Primal's blossom server seems to be acting wonky again...fortunately, today is the last day I'll need it.
Old, I don't like to klingon to old photos 😂
Heard his wife had a stick up her a** 🥁
Fair enough, here's a 1970's axe murder version of me 😂

yeah, i think it's funny but also kinda sad. i also get the same vibes at LLMs too when they do stupid things, it's the text equivalent. they feel like babies, and literally in some sense they are because LLMs don't have memory apart from their training data weights and what's in the context. i'm not anthropomorphising them, they just simply are a primitive life form, and one that probably will never have full autonomy nor should it. doesn't change the reflexive sympathy at human-like failure.
I know a proctologist that got divorced 😂
Dammit Mike, she's a witch, not a phrenologist!
