I'm missing the first principal. A node looks for routes when a payment goes out so it does this to a degree now. I'm merely suggesting an idea that maybe we can route small and tiny payments through smaller nodes and more evenly distribute routinng across nodes which I think would be better. But I don't know. What am I missing.

Your reply reads hostile to me. Maybe I'm just reading it wrong. It's just a brainstorming idea and that's why I asked about it. The goal of running a node has never been to be profitable for me. It's been to break even. I would just like to see a healthier ecosystem with regards to node capacity distribution.
