i keep an opinel folding "eating knife" (my term, not opinel's) in my bag for on the go snacking. bring back the medieval eating dagger! who needs forks and spoons?
i'm partial to pocket draw karambits myself
“our cause”
He was just less blatant about it.
you looking for general utility, self-defense/murder, box opening, multitool...?
decode* or whatever, i just woke up
can it parse as a QR code, too...?
I would rather hang out in the Open Source room of the conference while the shitcoiners market shitcoins outside of that room.
RE: Agents carry cryptographic proof they're acting on behalf of a human:

Backend code feels more approachable to reason about _fully_, because you're likely to own the machines where it runs, too.
Frontend code is an entirely different animal - it will run on thousands of different client devices in all sorts of different connection, resource-availability, interface and user requirement contexts.
For the web, i mean. desktop is a different story.
the ⭕ just reminds me of the rubber bands I put on my ram lambs so their balls fall off
and indeed, migrations were one of the biggest pains in the ass while working on userspace/"apps".
why not just do what you're saying, but make it nostr-shaped, so it has a chance at being earth-compatible? if a given star has some mars/earth nostr translator, it's like a portal - either one-way or bidirectional. if not, it just stays on mars
He should try the BTCpayServer crowdfunding plugin.
there are a handful of ridiculous things that if urbit would just shed it would have a decent shot. i think they're more interested in cults, though.
you wanna buy a star? i could help you out 😂
If you send 10k sats now that you have 1k followers, will you send 100k sats when you have 10k? 🤣
"we" won't, but **we** already are 🫡
I can't understand why people don't like Bitcoin.
But maybe I understand.
People hate freedom.
Interesting ethical question.
Should you be banned from doing something harmful to yourself?

Thank you, but I don’t think I’ll be using ‘nowhere’. I just wanted to give it a try and I’ll be closing the shop straight away. I already have my own website where I sell my paintings; I’m just curious about all the new features on Nostr, and yours is a real game-changer!
Hai provato anche Nostur?
Put your smartphone in airplane mode and open the link
How it Works
The technology behind Nowhere
Every Nowhere store is a compact data structure - products, prices, images, settings - encoded directly into a URL. When you open a store link, your browser decodes this data and renders the store entirely client-side. No server is involved in displaying the store.
Orders are placed using the Nostr protocol, a decentralized communication network. When you check out, your order details are encrypted with the seller's public key and published to the network's relays. Only the seller has the private key needed to decrypt and read your order. When an order is broadcast, the network can see that a Nowhere purchase was made - but it is impossible to tell which store it was for, who placed it, or what was ordered.
Seller identity and store integrity are verified using deterministic phrases derived from cryptographic fingerprints. The seller phrase identifies the seller across all their stores. The store phrase confirms a specific store URL hasn't been modified. Both are computed locally with no network calls.
There are no central servers or databases, and no platform operator handling your data. Everything runs in your browser, and all communication happens over decentralized relays. The result is a fully peer-to-peer shopping experience with cryptographic guarantees of privacy and authenticity.

Homework has been a useless timesink since at least the 90s. I've never done any homework at any school I've been to.
Getting ChatGPT to do it for you just frees up your day and spares you from the humiliation ritual practiced by the state sponsored indoctrination drones we call teachers.

alright i'm finally installing the PWA!

was one me? i bet one was me.
you can use the claude api (pricey).
but i've heard about routing openclaw through claude code - https://github.com/StoicEnso/openclaw-claude-delegate - haven't tried it myself
Yea, no thanks. A good chef's knife with proper grip and technique is safer, faster, more fun, and easier to clean 👍
lol sorry to hear about your fingers
I posted one

oh yea dude you're on to something here!
really good for self defense, too. check out the emerson wave pocket draw ones
lolol i forgot you get me with that damn zoom every time
i like karambits, personally
playing it through a PA for now, i like things loud :)
it's a pd - Pure Data - thing. (this is my first experience wth pd. all vibed).
synthesized noise and notes + effects with various parameters that get modified by the triggered actions. for instance: "whack the tom that has the trigger for the 'delay' effect = each hit notches up the delay effect stack by x% amount" and then it steadily decays back to baseline.
there's a hi hat pedal that i can use to adjust the tempo of the drunk walk notes being generated. and an expression pedal that sets the pitch. some other things..
it seems like i should record a video tour of this and open source the code and electronics schematics! ... damn maybe i should sell a pre-built version 😆
it's true, i can appeal to the comedy crowd along with the music crowd 😆
The impetus was that drums on their own are "boring", a solo player alone in a room (practice or just goofing around). But I refuse to play an electronic kit and I refuse to twiddle knobs and play keyboards when I'm supposed to be drumming. I wanted something that allowed me to ONLY play the drums while still creating dynamic sounds as if someone else was playing another instrument in the room with me. I had this very well-designed in my head, but I couldn't make it a reality until now with AI assistance.
i'm only playing acoustic drums. peizo sensors pick up the signal and it enters a bunch of code that eventually results in noise. it's all controlled rhythmically - For instance, if you hit the drum that has the chaos trigger on it, at the same tempo as the current base tempo, It tends to keep the chaos level steady. If you play it twice as fast, it raises the chaos. Otherwise, the chaos decays back to baseline. So if you play slower than the global tempo, not much happens, but if you play faster than the base tempo, things start to ramp up and get wild. Since all the controls are dynamic like this, it just naturally responds to your playstyle in the moment.
