Oh I'd love to see bolt12 everywhere. It's adoption is so damn slow though that I gave up and am now looking at Ark. My Lightning node has been active and online for 6 years, but that doesn't mean I can see normal people ever running one.
Probably. We just need the right motivation for people to solve this. Right now Ark is looking very good. I'm excited to see if that can be used to solve this.

With Bitcoin, I can't think of any compromises or trade offs that compromise my sovereignity in a way where I'm no long sovereign over my private key.
What I want is a Nostr that has Bitcoin woven into it naturally. Where your notes are just as sovereign as your zaps, and it's dead simple for non-technical people to be part of that relationship. I know there's a technical hurdle here, but that's all it is. It's just an engineering problem. We can build this. I truly believe we don't need compromises and we don't need trade offs.
It just marks the note in the block chain so that everyone can see that it existed at that time. It will update as soon as the blockchain finishes.

So I get a little bit jealous when I see people who only ever complete 1 project and then spend years marketing & milking it
Wish I could be like that too. But I keep evolving and growing.
By the time I complete a project, I discover something new and already know what I want to do next.
It’s what I do with my podcast: after I do an interview, I learn something new that I want to explore. Which might get a little bit confusing for the audience.
Because I don’t have a concept-oriented brand and I no longer wave tribal flags. I just follow what I think is interesting and try to learn for myself.
The fact that there are people who appreciate my work fills my heart with joy. Because I know how difficult it is to keep up with me and sometimes I get lost myself 😅

I didn't know what shrimp actually looked like until I went to China because in Canada they sell them with the heads and legs so they don't look like bugs. I got scared when I saw them in China, I didn't know how to eat them and was wondering why they looked scary and gross.
