According to Russian-installed authorities, a drone strike in Enerhodar killed Oleksandr Yakovlev, an engineer at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, along with his driver after their company vehicle was struck near the boundary of the plant’s industrial site.
Russian officials said Yakovlev had remained at the facility following the occupation of Enerhodar, later accepting a position as “chief engineer” under the Russian-installed administration.
