NASA从Mercury计划开始，就是由当次任务的宇航员命名他们的飞船。比如Alan Shepard的Freedom 7，John Glenn的Friendship 7 （豆知识：Mercury计划所有的飞船的名字里都有个七，都是跟着Alan Shepard名字里代表首批七个宇航员的7来的）。到了Gemini的时候，nasa也早早宣布了延续这个传统的打算。
Gemini首次载人任务的指令长是Gus Grissom。Grissom在Mercury任务里给自己的飞船起了个非常中规中矩的爱国的名���：Liberty Bell 7。所以Nasa也很放心的让他取名，结果让NASA大跌眼镜的是他这次的命名Molly Brown。这位Molly Brown到底是哪位小姐的芳名呢？不是他太太也不是他母亲，而是著名百老汇音乐剧“Unsinkable Molly Brown”里的主角。 这位社交名媛最著名的地方，就是她在泰坦尼克号沉没的时候，劝告救生艇上船员返回沉没区寻找幸存者。
那Grissom为什么要给自己的飞船取这个名字呢，这还得回到liberty bell 7上。Liberty Bell 7返程之后，在海上被打捞之前，舱门的爆破栓被意外触发打开，大量进水，差点没把Grissom淹死在里面。因为无法确认到底是机械故障还是宇航员人为操作失误，Grissom之后四年被反反复复调查得快要烦死了，由衷觉得是自己飞船名字的意头不好，因为自由钟上是有裂痕的嘛。所以这次，他要一个“永不沉没的Molly Brown”。NASA上层试图说服他改一个名字，他死活不松口，僵持不下之际他说，好吧，我可以改，只有一个条件：改名只能叫泰坦尼克。 于是终结了这个争论。Gemini三号任务的飞船，就叫Molly Brown。
ps 1999年Discovery Channel赞助了一个计划，去打捞沉在五千米水下的自由钟七号。深海搜索专家Curt Newport经过好几���的气象和水流研究，终于在大西洋底定位到了飞船。1999年五月第一次打捞的时候遇上恶劣的风浪，深潜器和打捞船上的缆绳忽然断了，深潜器和飞船一起又掉了回去！Newport过了两个月带了条更结实的绳子出海，重新定位，在人类登月三十年纪念日（1999/7/20）花了足足八小时才把这个倒霉的飞船捞上了船。
这艘飞船上岸后终于证明了Gus Grissom的清白：飞船舱门不是人为引爆的，而是直升机静电引发的。 可惜Gus Grissom早在1967年就在Apollo 1号的大火里丧生，他并不知道差点淹死他的事故到底是什么引发的。让人唏嘘的是Apollo 1号的大火也是一根电线的火花引起的。而三位宇航员未能及时逃生，也是因为自由钟七号之后，Grissom认为舱门应该更结实更难开。没想到纯氧环境里一个火花迅速造成失控的大火让舱内压力骤增，往里开启的结实舱门根本打不开。从此以后nasa舱门都是往外开的，而且在进入太空之前也不敢用纯氧了。Grissom两次都被舱门所害，逃过了第一次终究没有逃过第二次，可谓宿命。

今天大开杀戒，前几年网购的净水植物，没多长时间就繁殖了很多蜗牛，植物都死了很久了，蜗牛还在不断生灭，我就把它们放在一个小盆里，也不喂，有精力就让它们生，主打一个慈悲，但是我怕外地物种破坏本地生态，所以也没扔外边草丛里，今天发现水里出现了很多孑孓，我的屋里是没有蚊子的，因为睡觉没挨过咬，为了杜绝后患，把盆里的水全到下水道了，还有两只小蜗牛吸在盆壁上，我又给它们接了点水。
出门回来发现门上趴着一只小蛾子，比苍蝇还小一点，我用纸板把它哄走了，结果开门进屋回手关门，发现蛾子也飞进来了,抬脚把它踹死在门上了，贱不贱呐
