I still know of many arc users, and I get it. I will never comprehend why the browser company tossed that potential in the bin.

just last week I had this experience as well for the first time. The site would just be blocked because I had devtools open. Can't remember which site it was, something like a gaming hardware store or so (work context).
I don't really get what the purpose is. It's not like you can _actually_ prevent people from reading the shipped code?

I have been chipping away at the wooden deck project literally for weeks now. It is getting _very_ hard to find the motivation to finish it. Just three steps and the trim around the main deck left though...

exactly. how that fits with "your dads framework" I also don't understand. this seems nowhere close to the simplicity of the mentioned PHP aera. 🤷
from a quick glance, I don't see why to use it over something like hono, which can also render jsx if that's what you're after. anyway, I decided this does not resonate with me and move on. 😄

I have not, no. I think this has been around for ages, but I recently stumbled across it because https://github.com/cryptee/web-client uses it (which in turn I heard in https://vivaldi.com/blog/john-ozbay/). I am for the most part pretty happy with VS Code after Sublime, but been meaning to try Nova as well (always liked Panic software) – good to hear you like it!

As a result I just created a ticket to replace our previous LESS-mixin based approach with `light-dark()` and https://github.com/csstools/postcss-plugins/tree/main/plugins/postcss-light-dark-function
I am hopeful that this is a better, standards based approach.

At #btconf I was discussing with my colleague how a manual light/dark mode switch would be feaseable in combination with #css `light-dark()` function.

I can't believe it's 2024 and I'm seriously considering throwing the off-the-shelf component framework out the window and replacing it with good old plain #bootstrap. I'm so tired of half-baked features, update troubles, questionable API decisions, slow builds and missing freedom.
With bootstrap I have full control over the markup and get pretty decent styling.
(It's for a dashboard-like tool we're mid-way building)

No way I'm paying € 5/month for this very well designed and executed product I love using. I am a WEB DEVELOPER, I can BUILD THIS MYSELF in a ridiculous amount of time that I don't have, then self-host it on a VPS for € 5/month and pay another couple of euros for a domain. Let's do it!

we recently shipped a bunch of speculation rules for a high traffic website. Super easy API, big hit with minimal effort. If a browser does not support it, the it simply goes: meh 🤷
