On your last point. Monero have about 25k transactions a day, btc mainnet about 700k, do verify numbers yourself. But at a 1to15 ratio. Been pretty stable and or growing. I would look at that.

Last night I'm the Van for our trip.
Last two weeks have been with my woman's family in south Norway. And with no winter tyres we had to drive around the coast. Two hours from home was it for our day. The boys wanted to push through, even with seven hours in the car, but nobody complained at this spot!
Not a bad place to stop. The boys played in the snow, epic view, made the last of the Spanish cacao.
Tomorrow we'll have lunch at my parents homestead. About six and a half months since last time.

For sure. I agree. I am most heavy in Bitcoin, and a part silver and xmr.
There is an underlying economy in xmr, so I would say there is a floor in price, that the economy supports. And it is slowly rising. Not arguing against your point, just speaking my mind from what I gathered.
To me, it is a concern that bitcoin, other than SoV, is not delivering on p2p cash.
I would add, for me at least, this is also a parallel economy game, or an anti state game. And what ever that supports that is an important tool. I have no faith in "(.....) Only" or maxi mentality, the market can have many options. Depends on what you want to achieve.
There are some marketplace's on xmr, though I have not used them. I have found merchants on nostr that I have transacted with in both Lightning and xmr.
SoV can be, and always have been, multiple things.

Xmr got a good steady number of transaction and a a fair amount of merchants. From what I can understand.
I think more, myself included, have found that xmr is more inline with bitcoin white paper than btc these days. Not so many hoops to go through to be private.
Just saying, but I think xmr will grow a bit more in the future.

4/5ish km run with the baby stroller.
