I love this episode, but you are missing something about the tower of babel that would actually strengthen your point:
It is likely they were building a ziggurat style tower. This was the type of temple building that was typical in that region at that time. I can give more justification why it was a ziggurat if you want, but let me make my point first. Why is building a temple a bad thing? Because the reasoning behind these temples was that the gods had physical needs and that humans could help them meet their needs in exchange for favors. There are even some creation myths from that time which tell a story of humans being created as a sort of slave race so that the gods don't have to work anymore. So the thinking was "we built this awesome house for our god and then we give him a lot of food. This makes him dependent on us and he will give us good weather or success in war or whatever". But the god of the bible obviously doesn't want this kind of relationship with humans. He wants a relationship based on voluntary and sincere love, he gives freely without anything that we can give him in return except our heart.
Fiat money being a debt based money has a few parallels to that story.
1. It bases our relationship with each other on financial slavery rather than genuine trust. The fiat system literally requires the amount of debt to grow forever. Less debt = shrinking money supply = deflation = default on remaining debt = economic collapse. Bitcoin on the other hand puts capital accumulation (aka saving) before spending, which gives you the freedom to coose how to spend your life in a way that generates real value for others.
2. Just like the tower builders thinking they can influence the weather, Fiat Money gives the illusion of control where there is none. "If the central bankers just set the interest rate at the right level we can generate more economic growth or higher employment." Bitcoiners recognise, that all meaningful economic activity comes from humans providing value for others and they only need a stable foundation from which they can make their decisions.
3. Fiat money concentrates power. In ancient societies the priest were one of the highest classes, because they where believed to influence what the gods would do. And they often enriched themselves on the riches that people offered to the gods. In our times the closer you are to the money printer, the more you are allowed to enrich yourself at the cost of others.
If god let the tower of babel fall for these reasons, then he might let fiat fall for similar reasons. And just like Israel was chosen as a people of god to be light for the scattered nations. Bitcoin can be a light for those living under the many scattered fiat currencies. You can join the people of god trough giving your heart to Jesus Christ and you can join the Network of Bitcoin by redirecting your energy towards bitcoin.

1. Wenn du einen leeren Bock gefunden hast kannst du keine zusätzlichen Transaktionen mehr in den Block aufnehmen. Die Transaktionen werden ja als Merkle Root in den Bockheader aufgenommen, welcher gehasht wird, um den block hash zu erzeugen. Wenn du also die Transaktionen änderst ändert sich auch der Bock Hash und hat nicht mehr die nötige Anzahl an leading zeroes um gültig zu sein.
2. Das Risiko für einen Reorg ist bei Blocks mit und ohne Transaktionen identisch. Der Block Hash des vorherigen Blocks ist nämlich auch teil des gehashten block headers und kann nicht mehr geändert werden. Der block muss also bei den anderen Minern ankommen, damit diese darauf aufbauen können und kann nicht einfach zwischen zwei zusammenhängende Blöcke geschoben werden, nur weil er leer ist.

I've heard this counter argument a lot, and I sympathize with it. But I doubt even half of the people writing stuff like this are eating 100% grass fed beef. And once you introduce supplemental soy and corn feedings all of the arguments you made against veganism can also be made against beef.
So yeah I think both meat and plant based diets can have a positive impact, but you have to make a honest assessment of your specific food choices.

Ich würde dir widersprechen, dass Milei in irgendeiner Form radikal ist. Mir scheint er wie ein herkömmlicher Liberallala und unterscheidet sich nicht wirklich von den vorherigen konservativen Regierungen Argentiniens wie z.B. Macri.
Wenn er als konservativ/liberal angetreten wäre, wäre das ja OK. Aber er ist als Anarchokapitalist angetreten mit dem expliziten Ziel die Zentralbank niederzubrennen. Bis jetzt fehlt allerdings jede Bemühung in diese Richtung. You're on the right track. Concrete is great at resisting compressive forces, steel is great at resisting tensile forces, combine them and you get the best of both worlds. Now in the video the test that he showed for concrete is used to determine compressive strength, so modern concrete should be good at this too. We don't calculate the strength in kg but in Newton per square millimeter. This way we can compare samples of different sizes. I'm guessing the ancient concrete cube has a length of 100 or150 mm? At 80 tonnes this would mean a compressive strength of around 60 or 27 N/mm2. Which is around the same as some concrete used today. We can actually produce concrete with more than 100 N/mm2 but this is rarely done because it's quite expensive. With modern concrete we can reliably calculate the resulting strength of the mix, so we usually just select a mix with a little bit more strength than is actually required by the structural engineer. We could use stronger concrete but that would just be a waste of money. My guess is, that they deliberately chose a weak concrete for the video or added too much water to the mix.

If you read the old testament you will realise that every book is an attempt to answer the the cultural challenges the authors were facing at the time. God stays the same, but our environment changes. We don't have to deal with child sacrifice to pagan gods anymore but other challenges are now more relevant than ever. Interessant, Ullrich Mies hat über die Jahre ein augenscheinlich massives Wissen über die ausbeuterische und zerstöreische Natur des Staates gesammelt.
