This model is called The Sats Collector. The name is a play on the title of the dreaded Tax Collector. I wanted something that embraced the Pleb Ethos of stacking Sats relentlessly. They are obviously in Bitcoin Orange to send an immediate subliminal signal. The arms of the shades have HSFP etched in Gold Custom Gothic letters. HODLrs will get the message while the NPCs will just think you have good taste. The inside of the arms feature custom Bitcoin artwork. The ₿itcoin message is strong, but the wrench attacks will miss you because you are not wearing a giant ₿itcoin symbol on your chest. This is The OG Maxi Model. It was what inspired the whole journey to design Bitcoin Shades and www.btcogmaxi.com . I wanted something that could send a signal without plastering a Bitcoin Symbol on a T-Shirt. IYKYK and thats why the HFSP is on the outside of the arms. Only you will know that the Custom art is on the inside of the arms. Quite frankly that was the hardest part. Its a very complicated process to get the art sublimated on the frames. Most sunglasses that do this are plastic and jokey because its a flimsy process and is easy to do on plastic. We used acetate frames which are the standard for high end luxury eyewear. These shades are inspired by the Los Angeles Chicano OG Gangster style. The whole project for me was to create something lasting for the community and while doing it embracing the Bitcoin sovereign ethos. Definitely going to check this out! Originally I wanted to self host BTCPayserver on Start9 but back when I built www.btcogmaxi.com there was no tunnel support so I went with Voltage to host the BTCPayserver. Turns out a week ago they announced that they are sunsetting that product. My goal was to self host the whole site and commerce experience. I begrudgingly put Stripe on the site but turns out no one is using it because of my discount with BTC 😎. Either way I need to figure out a Bitcoin payment solution by August 1!
