There should be different pricing for what currencies force you to do.
If you never deal with XMR, like myself, then accepting it would probably increase the cost of my services to account for me having to go through a hoop to end in Bitcoin.
If they want to do that instead and reap the benefits of paying me in my unit of account, then great.
I wouldn't say no to any currency that I can reasonably trust it's ability to be changed into bitcoins.
If the reason for not accepting Monero is that you don't want to waste your time with all that, or find it difficult to flip into your unit of account then that's understandable.
Yet, I'd be remiss if you didn't charge more to make it worth your time - that's kinda lazy & dismissing the fact that people want to spend money they have with less friction.

You need your seed backed up more than once.
In one location:
Steel plate engraved + paper/card laminated
-> the paper card should be both written out words & SeedQR if you're using a SeedSigner or another QR based signing device
Second location:
Center punched steel backup, could be Steel SeedQR or classic versions with alphabet grid + paper/card laminated.
-> the paper card should be both written out words & SeedQR if you're using a SeedSigner or another QR based signing device
These two locations create a viable backup for your wealth.
If you only do this with one location you have a single point of failure.
In each location you should have steel and laminated paper for recoverability UX.
If you execute a 3of3 this will great.
If you execute this with singlesig you'll need to have a 3rd and maybe even 4th location to store your passphrase so inheritance can be done properly.
In other words, just setup a 3of3.

I would do both, super legible paper cards laminated.
SeedQRs laminated or at the very least done with archival markers is also an option you might be overlooking.
Some steel backups aren't engraved but use a grid that's center punched.
It's really inexpensive and can be a game changer for recoverability.

If you're writing your seed down on paper or a card you need to buy archival grade markers.
These are considered the gold standard, they are inexpensive.
You also should laminate the card / paper after to consider it a viable backup for your seed.

The only way you're not relying on single points of failure is through multisig.
The only way to distribute your seeds with backups in enough places to not have a single point of failure is through a 3of3 (minimum).
If you want to bury the 6 seeds in 3 different locations that's up to you.
Saying my way is bad because you hate banks is fine, but you're not taking into account that you have no idea what my threat models are or my inheritance plans.
My way works the best for most people with less complexity than burying things in the ground.
If you can't create a 3of3 properly, use a Bitkey.
If youre stuck with Singlesig memorize it and a passphrase then back those up in multiple locations anyways.
Doing all that work for a singlesig is brutal because the 3of3 is far superior.

Imagine you have 3 safes in 3 different locations.
In this example it's a safe at home and two separate safety deposit boxes.
Safe Box 1, 2, 3 respectively.
In a 2of3, with a backup for each seed (6 seeds total) spread across all 3 if one box gets corrupted you lose your monies.
If you abstract the descriptor file away from those safes and keep it in an encrypted cloud or in a 4th box, that adds complexity and potential downside if your heirs need to recover.
In a 3of3, with backups for each - 6 seeds again.
If you spread them correctly:
Box 1 -> Seed A & B
Box 2 -> Seed B & C
Box 3 -> Seed A & C
If any one safe box gets corrupted you can still access your bitcoins, your descriptor file isn't as important if you use standard multisig settings which all the major wallets ascribe to (you should still have the descriptor /config backed up with each seed though)
You know you have done it correctly if you look at the descriptor file & each signer / seed shows a derivation path of: m/48'/0'/0'/2
That's how you know you have the standard settings for your multisig and can recover in the future with no descriptor/config file and also HWW agnostic.
Your heirs will thank you and your security model will be bulletproof.

PSA: Hold your Bitcoins in a 3of3 multisig with backups for each seed in 3 separate safety deposit boxes, where 2 out of the 3 seeds are in each, where one box being corrupted doesn't affect you whatsoever.
If you can't do this, you should use a Bitkey, adding as many emergency contacts as you can, as well as maxing out the number of fingerprints you can add to the device itself.
For large stacks that affect net worth:
Keep the Bitkey in a safety deposit box.
Keep a smartphone with the app in a separate safety deposit box.
