I have to say that my first touch with ClaraVerse AI tool stack leaves me impressed. Certainly some bugs to work through and some features to finish, but dang, it feels like another step. For someone just jumping into self-hosted AI features, this is pretty amazing. For someone that already has a pretty well defined self-hosted, but centralized AI stack, the configuration is a little fiddly. I have a dedicated machine with GPU power for Ollama, N8N, ComfyUI, Open WebUI, Perplexica, a bunch of MCPs and a voice stack for TTS/STT etc. I prefer to just point everything there. It is, however, quite beautiful and I can see this as my daily driver in the future. It combines so much in a single package that it's quite amazing. Between VSCode and ClaraVerse, my AI software stack may have just become less messy. I know nothing about the developers, their ethics, etc. They seem focused on local AI, so they can't be all bad. It is multi-platform. Nostr over Reticulum network would be an interesting development. Certainly some technical hurdles to work through, but the payoff could be substantial. Reticulum currently has the NomadNet which can serve as a static site or BBS, but in general, group chat or collaboration is pretty weak for Reticulum (based on what I presently know about it). Nostr could be that group chat, persistent messaging, community building, micro-economy tool that could also bridge Reticulum node relays to clear-net and/or I2P relays if so desired. This is something I would like to ponder for a while...

I was also tempted to try Meshcore. I settled on skipping it for two main reasons. While it seems to solve some of the potential weaknesses found in Meshtastic, it isn't popular or even known in my area. It also doesn't differentiate itself enough from Meshtastic. Reticulum, with caching, routing, and the ability to use basically any type of wired or wireless network and make them interoperable doesn't have the same limitations. It has different ones currently, but Reticulum looks like a solid base to build something from.

It can, there is a github project that enables that. I've not tested it yet. The additional features that I have using RNodes over Meshtastic devices has kept me from trying this out. I will test it eventually.

I've been spending time researching, building, and testing different resilient and mesh type networks and hardware. I started playing with #Meshtastic but keep getting pulled towards #Reticulum network and #RNodes. Meshtastic has the marketing, ease of entry, and hardware support. In actual execution it suffers the same downsides as FMRS radios. Reticulum is something much more. A complete encryption first network stack capable of leveraging the best path whether that's across the internet, across ISM band or other radio links or both. The ability to cache messages in the network until a node becomes available again, and no arbitrary three hop limit is a plus. Being able to text with someone out of eyesight through the radio and also with someone on the other side of the globe at the same time is very interesting. What it lacks is the fit, polish, marketing, and momentum of Meshtastic. In every other way, I find it to be superior. Oh, you can also send images, voice messages and files over Reticulum as well. Here is my first Reticulum node running Meshchat on a Raspberry Pi connected to a RAK flashed with RNode all powered with PoE. I'm building a few of these to start building out a local/regional network over time.

If you can find some, rub jewel weed sap on it. Jewel weed usually grows near poison ivy. It likes moist shaded areas. Crush the stem to get the sap out of it. It neutralizes the chemical that causes the reaction to poison ivy. Best to use it as soon as you have contact with poison ivy. It can also be used on the rash of poison ivy breakout and helps with itching. Its also great for nettle stings. Everyone here uses jewel weed and poison ivy is no longer an issue. Even for people who are highly allergic. It sounds like BS, but it's worked for too many people at this point. Good luck!

The fitting on the left is the more common of the two. That is a standard "Pioneer" style fitting that is used on the hydraulics of almost all tractors. The on on the right looks to be a Type A. I don't use Deere equipment and I know they like to do their own thing in certain arias. I can see using the type A fitting on a backhoe attachment so that it can't physically connect to the rear remotes of a tractor and only connect to a separate "power beyond" connection. The installation is much easier that it used to be. I have three instances running, one from the v0.20 days that isn't upgraded. I really don't do anything maintenance related other than install security patches for the host operating system. Been running flawlessly for well over a year. I would say to get comfortable with the few terminal commands that you need like "headscale nodes list" to see the status of all nodes that are configured and connected. Have fun! #headscale

This is 2024. The companies and agencies that are poor custodians of our secrets suffer no real consequences when they become public. We have the technologies to solve these problems, there is no incentive to do so. Our only recourse is to refuse to use as many services that require KYC or personal information. I've lived in a small town in a red state for most of my life, surrounded by a mix of farmers, factory workers, small business and shop owners, as well as people from the local university. In my daily life, I never hear the term "Christian Nationalism." To me, it's a pejorative label used for obvious political purposes.
In my small town, we rely on each other for survival. Race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or other factors of our neighbors aren't important to us. These are our neighbors, and we value them regardless of their background. The only thing that tends to cause tension is politics. Loud, “in your face” activism to vomit your views onto another person or group is received as a mild form of violence. Calm conversation or debate is not.
I think the term "Christian Nationalism" is an obvious play to energize Liberals, Progressives, and Democrats against some unseen monster lurking in the dark. There is no tangible, organized force of "Christian Nationalists" waiting to take over cities or sweep the country to take away the rights of anyone.
As a Christian, I live by the principle of nonaggression and strive to be kind. I understand that the Church has been responsible for many historical wrongs, not individual Christians. Nationalists, in general, are proud of their country and want the best for it. I’m not sure why this is threatening. The term "Nationalist" often sounds scary due to its word association with the Nazi party, which was officially known as the "National Socialist Party." This is textbook use of a word or phrase that subconsciously links one unrelated thing to another unrelated thing by picking words that are similar.
Perhaps the larger issue is that life in cities and rural areas is completely different. As foreign as living on a different planet in some cases. I believe that people in cities shouldn't be setting policies for rural people, and rural people shouldn't be setting policies for city people. The silliness of this great terror is in its name. I wish we could focus on building our communities and respecting each other's differences, rather than letting politicized labels drive us further apart.
I went on several tangents there, and I apologize for that. Let your people know that there is no army of teeth gnashing, bible thumpers coming to force them to say the pledge of allegiance. If they believe that there is such a group perhaps they should ask themselves why they believe that, who planted that thought in them, to who stands to benefit from that belief…

Magic Earth would seem like a good product to add lightning tipping for traffic and other notifications. There are no trackers found using exodus. I'm not sure what the devs are like. Excellent! We used to have a very large Burr Oak in the front of our property. A few local and state groups would collect some acorns from the tree every so often to plant them elsewhere. The acorns were huge, very unique and fun to look at. Sadly that tree died about ten years ago. I believe this was the only Burr Oak on or near us as I haven't found others. I think I'll do what your husband did and plant a new one, or fifty. Future generations need to enjoy the shade of a Burr Oak.

The Bridgeton Covered bridge is the longest covered bridge in Indiana. The original bridge was built in 1886 and was burned down by arsonists in 2006. Local farmers and craftsmen donated the trees for the timbers and rebuilt the bridge. #grownostr #festival #coveredbridge

#nostr seemed really quiet for me over the last couple of days. I just noticed that all of my follows were somehow deleted. That sucks... Working to build up my list again. I'll need to keep a closer eye on that as I'm not sure how that happened. I do use several different clients,maybe one had a bug...

Yesterday I had to wire some earnest money to a seller since they don't use anything to make it easier and weren't interested in learning. I had to visit my bank to complete the #wiretransfer. It took an hour plus travel time and cost me $25 for the service. I'll need to complete another wire transfer which will total $50 in fees and at least two hours of my life for the balance due when we settle the deal. This morning I transferred over 4x value that the wire transfers will be, I did it from my desk, it took around 15 minutes to settle and it cost me the equivalent of $1.65 in #fiat. It is so obvious that #bitcoin is better than banking and its not even close. #learnbitcoin

I wouldn't call it "cold" but it has been in the 50s at night. Several groups of these were found today in various stages from fresh to dried and black to dark ground in color. Several groups were found growing around maple and shagbark hickory tree roots. Other groups were on much older dead logs.

The problem is the term "machine gun" implies a fully automatic, auto-loading firearm. Stores in the US do sot sell fully automatic weapons and you are required to go through an additional process which takes time, and pay for an additional stamp to own a fully automatic weapon in the US. Instead, if you're talking about semi-automatic weapons, like most pistols and AR-15s, then yeah, we sell them in vending machines. Pretty cool.

This one is of a man that fought in the American War Between the States. To hear a voice reach out through time and tell his story was quite amazing. We used to plant alfalfa but now only manage (semi)native grasses and clover as well. I've been thinking of trying to plant the actual native grasses for our area like big blue stem. The original grasses were killed off and choked out by previous practices. #haytalk
