Bitcoin has to be big enough to absorb global oil (energy) trade without it being aligned to a pole in the new BRICS vs US order.

The problem with the strategy is there is energy everywhere on earth, and the US doesn’t even make its own weapons any more.. It can work a while, but it’s not some impenetrable moat - it will just take time and will but it can be overcome.
Most Americans including a ton of Bitcoiners don’t realise the exorbitant privilege that money printing has given the US. Even when they understand the money problem, there’s a patriotic streak which leads too many to believe they’re special and worthy of everything, that even in spite of the problems it’s still the greatest nation in the world.
The US isn’t special though. It was 250 years ago, it still was 150 years ago, even 100; it’s not today.
It’s living on past glory and the benefits of Bretton Woods. Its people have no concept what life will be like without that privilege, without having inflation as their number 1 export, but I think most will live long enough to find out.

The problem for the US and Americans with Trump’s rhetoric and positioning is everyone thought you were “allies”. Sure you were the stronger big brother in these relationships, but your jerk behaviour seemingly was directed externally allowing those allies to sell a narrative, which their people bought, that you were fundamentally their friends and acting in everyone’s best interests.
The problem for the those “allies” and their people; Brits, Canadians, Australians, Kiwis, Koreans, Japanese, and the various European peoples, is without that veil, the narratives don’t hold. The people can’t pretend you’re friends when you’re bullying them relentlessly and actively making their lives worse.
When the US was secretly funding anti-nuclear movements in the West to maintain their petrodollar system, you got away with it because you weren’t rubbing peoples noses in it. It was subtle. Only a few understood what you were truly doing. As a result, very few amongst those allied countries disliked or opposed the US.
Now you’ve got Trump talking and acting like this and all subtlety is gone. Even retarded leftists can see what you’re doing. Nobody needs to connect dots anymore, they just need to listen to Trump and Friends and it’s immediately clear that you’re not allies, you’re Suzerains who are no longer able to bully the world but are unable to stop being bullies, and have decided to beat up on those kid brothers instead.
US elites have determined that if you can’t have the global reserve currency, you can at least force the Dollar on your vassals under the assumption you’d be able to uphold a narrative like you used to, that US actions are actually good and in the interests of their allies too.
I really don’t think it’s going to work any more. The pretences which shaped perceptions have been dropped and the jerk behaviour is now too obvious. Even if Obama came back for a third term, too much has shifted now.
Yet they’re going to do it anyway and seem to think shoving it down peoples throats will work because you’ve still got aircraft carriers.. That’s not how the world works in 2026.
Once the little brothers realise they don’t need to put up with your blackeyes any more, Americans are going to be the last ones left holding the bag for the dollar Ponzi. Sure it will be painful for those “allies”, they could even end up worse off with their own incompetent parasites in charge and I have already actively exited this sphere because I only see things getting worse.
But Americans have by far the most to lose here yet they don’t seem to know it. When you’re on top, you’ve got farthest to fall. When you’ve alienated all your “friends” and can’t put on a friendly face between the beatings, no-one will care if you implode and tear yourselves apart.

My daughter has a 5yo cousin on my missus’ side who can’t sit through a dinner without a screen, he’ll lose the plot after 15-20 minutes of play and can’t regulate himself without a video or game on a phone; we’ve seen it and we reject it.
I’m sure it’s easy to say that and the reality will be harder than my comment, but at least we’re both aligned that this stuff is cancer for kid’s brains and we don’t want to subject our kids to it. That’s a good start.
Not sure how we navigate her having friends like this but we’ve got friends with older kids than ours doing similar and they’re doing great tbh.
I think by the time we actually have to face this it’s going to be common enough that there will be guides and playbooks to follow from parents who have been there already and trod this path and will advise what does and doesnt work.
This will be a new class divide unless kids all get chips in their brains and then all bets are off.

We’ve got a baby so haven’t had the worst of this yet but even at a few months old I can see the effect of screens - She’s entranced even by a music video or a podcast if she sees it.
A few months ago I bought a physical dictionary and every day at lunchtime I read random words to her, she doesn’t understand them yet but it’s gotten me in to a habit to do it daily and she loves books and me reading to her.
Can’t do much about her per group other than seek out likeminded parents which we’ve done ok with already, but control the controllables is what I’ve got my missus on board with.
We can’t control everything, but what we do control we can be conscious and intentional about and teaching her proper language and challenging her to expand vocab is doable. She’ll have screens limited until she has the brain and language to regulate herself, her peers won’t and I reckon that will be a big advantage for my daughter who will be stuck with screen addictions and poor communications skills.

THE LINGUA FRANCA TRAP
Language, money and religion are humanity's 3 most important technologies; beyond their capacity to scale cooperation, each also carries the seeds of its own destruction baked into its very success.
Triffin's Dilemma explains this for money. Today I advance “The Lingua Franca Trap” for language in which scaling a language too far means absorbing lower registers faster than the higher can be reproduced or extended, leading to its inevitable downfall.
Civilisational advancement necessitates language evolution; you cannot have steam-powered machined engines without words for steam-powered machined engines, so when your civilisation leads, your language advances with it. The British didn't go learn Maori nor did the French absorb Arabic because their cultures were already far technologically superior when they came into contact. That asymmetry of advancement determined the direction of adoption and is how every Lingua Franca has ever worked.
Language functions exactly like a dominant currency in this way; outsiders want access to the superior technology of your culture so they adopt your protocols (language, money, even religion) which is purely rational; it's what the Angles did absorbing Norman French and Latin.
That early absorption phase is generative rather than destructive, and the result of absorbing upward is enrichment rather than dilution. English took on the administrative sophistication, theological precision and aristocratic airs from civilisational superiors and came out the other side as Shakespeare; more synonyms, more conceptual density, more registers than almost any language before or since. You even see the generative version of this today where Japan and Korea export cultural payload via anime, manga, karaoke and Kpop through the English vector; because English is the distribution layer for global culture, and they’ve learned to use it as a launchpad rather than a barrier, proud that their cultural exports now travel worldwide on rails they didn’t build.
The trap I'm describing however is in the direction of absorption, because it doesn't always run upward.
Dominance attracts the dominated who yearn for the same cultural power for themselves, and so a civilisation of thirty million at the peak of the world becomes three hundred million a few generations later. The first absorbed generation could barely speak the language, the second can speak it but with limits, and by the third, having lost their original culture almost entirely, they insert those fragments into the dominant language out of fear of total erasure. That's when The Lingua Franca Trap springs. When absorption shifts from upward to downward, when the language starts absorbing lower-register material faster than it can synthesise it into something generative, and the weakest link keeps getting weaker as the rate of cultural and linguistic debasement compounds.
We can map this across a single lifetime in something as simple as generational slang. Take the English slang terms for "something good", "someone attractive" and "something crazy" across four generations:
* Boomers: groovy, foxy, wild
* Gen X: rad, fit, mental

The cultural rot that people feel but can't articulate, the sense that something has broken and nobody can quite say what, is in no small part this: the English language protocol has been degraded to the extent it no longer works as intended, and we cannot rebuild political community, shared values or civilisational ambition on a foundation of internet-creole.
We can look to the fall of Rome as precedent. Latin didn't die a sudden death, it degraded over centuries into mutually unintelligible regional vulgar dialects, the fragmentation of which mirrored the fragmentation of the Roman world. The Romance languages aren't a legacy so much as archaeological evidence of collapse, each one a shard of something that was once a unified substrate for an entire civilisation's thought and governance.

Pre Spotify I worked for a company that held the Europe wide patent to mix licensed music with unlicensed photos/videos.
A startup funded by a lawyer, looking for some sort of product to either use his patent against others or sell for a fortune purely because of the underlying IP.
There was nothing novel about it, he had music rights sorted with the 3 big labels and users could make short clips with their own pics/vids - there were a hundred software programs that could do that already, but only the lawyer owner had the legal right. That was the moat.
He could afford to fund this project because of his decades as a successful patent lawyer. One of the richest people I ever met.
For every philanthropist like your old boss, there’s a dozen parasites like my old boss - that’s why the system is the way it is.

Life doesn’t improve because someone has an artificial monopoly on a design and can have lawyers seek rents for them with government enforcement; it improves when that design gets iterated and iterated and iterated to better suit local conditions where it improves until it can’t be made better (like a safety pin or a paperclip).
Incentives to improve are not removed, there is way more innovation happening in Asia than the West it’s just that Westerners don’t see it and are stuck with an outdated mindset, they think the disparity is still what it was in the 90s when the West was clearly ahead but that’s simply not reality any more.
That’s what the West will come to regret. The iteration has died there and already gone elsewhere.
