🖤 People often see Mack when he’s working… but this is what makes him so special. 🐾
When Mack’s harness comes off, he knows his job is done. He switches from being a focused, professional guide dog into a chilled-out, happy Labrador who just loves to relax, nap, play, and enjoy being a dog.
It’s amazing to watch the difference. One minute he’s confidently guiding me through busy streets, shops, and crowds. The next, he’s stretched out on the floor, snoozing without a care in the world or waiting for belly rubs and cuddles.
Guide dogs aren’t “working” 24/7—they deserve time to switch off, recharge, and simply be dogs. That balance is what helps them do such an incredible job when the harness goes back on.
I’m so grateful for everything Mack does for me, but I’m equally grateful that he gets to enjoy life when he’s off duty. He’s not just my guide dog—he’s my best mate, my companion, and a very good boy. 🦮❤️

How do they get their first Bitcoin?
Most under-16s can’t simply sign up to an exchange and buy BTC.
But Nostr creates a different path.

• Receive zaps from other users.
• Earn sats from content.
• Get paid by friends over Lightning.
• Receive pocket money in Bitcoin from parents.
For the first time, young people could be introduced to money through earning rather than buying.
If enough users follow that path, Nostr doesn’t just become an alternative social network.
It becomes a Bitcoin onboarding platform.

One simple UX improvement for Primal: show Bitcoin values in users’ native currencies instead of defaulting to USD.
Right now, USD pricing creates friction for most people. You’re constantly translating value in your head, which makes Bitcoin feel less usable in real-world situations.
Real example:
A UK user travels to El Salvador 🇸🇻.
They walk into a shop where the merchant uses a static QR code (no amount included).
The price is listed in USD, so the user has to:
• Convert USD → GBP mentally
• Then GBP → sats in their wallet
• Then manually input the correct amount
That’s a lot of steps for a simple payment.
If the wallet/app let you quickly switch display currency to USD on the fly, you could instantly understand the price and pay the right amount without friction.
Switching display currency would:
• Make cross-border payments intuitive
• Remove mental math and mistakes
• Improve real-world usability of Bitcoin
• Help Bitcoin function as actual money, not just an asset

I was having a casual chat with a friend the other day about sending money abroad. He’d always just used his bank and never really questioned it.

Imagine this:
You buy a pint for £3.20 🍺
Cash goes over the bar, simple.
Behind the scenes, the pub still has to account for VAT, duty, corporation tax, staff costs, overheads… in the UK a decent chunk of that pint’s price is effectively flowing back to the tax system (often people estimate ~50–70p depending on how you break it down — not exact science, but you get the idea).
Now flip the mental model for a second.
What if that same pint was paid for via Bitcoin through something like Primal on Nostr…
…and the person paying is sat on the other side of the globe 🌍
Now the funny thought kicks in:
“Should the tax be lower because the money came from a different country?” 😂

It would be a huge improvement if STRIKE allowed users to change the native currency in-app.
Right now, sending payments internationally can be unnecessarily confusing—especially when scanning a static QR code (like one printed on a shelf in a store). In those cases, there’s no automatic conversion, so you have to manually enter the amount.
For example, as a UK user my default is GBP, but if I’m paying a merchant in El Salvador using USD, I have to work out the correct amount myself before sending. That adds friction and increases the risk of errors.
A simple option to switch or automatically match the recipient’s currency would make payments faster, clearer, and far more user-friendly—especially for global, real-world use.
