Do I need to figure out LinkedIn to get a job?
I guess I need to get my infra up again, write some simple but flashy projects, make a CV, send lots of emails, and hope for the best?
I'm not exactly prime employee material on account of being AuDHD and disabled, but I'm good at computers (I'd say being able to jump into any codebase and work on fixing issues within a week, even if it is a language I don't know and a codebase I don't know, even if the codebase is huge, is quite a good skill. It worked on WebKit and I barely know C++ /shrug)
I've been thinking of writing a few simple projects (simple is relative; I call it simple cuz it takes me only a week, but others might consider it impressive?), maybe finally reporting the Linux 0day I have lying around
I need a job within 2 months or I'm back to living in trains...

Firefox shouldn't be able to delete memory like this after exiting, or cause the GPU driver to misbehave, no matter what it does, and if it can, it's a bug in the system software rather than FF, and maybe yet another 0day waiting somewhere (though the memory manager is just leaky, but usually you can at least trace what's responsible for the leak)
Personally I'd look for any D state processes first, then for the allocator debug info (/proc/slabinfo)

interesting, what kinda perf issues? EleX hard depends on sliding sync so it loads faster, old Element & SchildiChat didn't even use filters so it takes ages on sync. I forgot about Fluffy, last time I touched it was a year ago, but it liked to bug out and refuse to load after some time (probably wrote some bullshit into account state that it then failed to parse, or some other client did)
SchildiNext still makes me wanna cry
All of those support using just one of them for notifications, though, if you yell at the settings page enough

I haven't touched it much because I'm too used to Java and Kotlin didn't seem like the kinda lang I'd enjoy (its main selling point is something I don't even dislike about Java). I heard some good things about some of its features, so I did wanna play around at some point (collecting programming languages I have learned is fun) but I'm the kinda entity to make the process hotpatch itself when I can't find the right way to do things properly, and doing cursed things to the JVM is my hobby
