if ordinals and nft pfps gain in popularity again and then have staying power I really wonder which will be at the top long term and how many total collections will matter. Eth only has like 3 desirable collections. So we’re talking current demand is for about 30k single pfps. We know many flipper-holders have 10+, so let’s shrink the current real demand by individuals that only want one “forever” pfp by 10x. With a 10x growth in crypto usage, that means the number of 10k pfps that can service most individual’s demand for one should be between 3 and 30, roughly. This means there’s room for a few ordinals top tiers, imo. And of course especially if eth price tanks despite usage and then finally dies alongside all other fiats.
With increased adoption you should get different niche communities and use case demand, but this is how I think about buying pfps broadly. As a super lightweight collector it’s just a reminder to keep pfps to a minimum and only got after top projects (and of course the ones you love regardless of popularity).

I love the idea of having just a QR code on the wall, it would mean there was no state to report all sales/conversion etc to. If you really wanted as the shop owner you could just watch for the pending tx on mempool.space for a few seconds and resolve any issues.

I think there have been many, I believe the first one was UMBRELLA on counterparty in 2014, now they’re commonly called “phygitals” and you can redeem for physical art. I will buy art on ordinals I really like but most things are priced quite high when you compare to a physical copy. Cool ordinals artworks are usually about $50-300 which is pretty common for a physical art print. The difference is usually there's at most 500 physical prints available whereas with ordinals these artists are making 10,000 copies. Sure, they are technically 1 of 1s but each is made programmatically, so IMHO they are basically low effort print copies. The price stays high because only 1-10% are listed. In contrast, true 1 of 1s are usually reasonably comparable to physical originals, in the low thousands. Anyway, my point is I think 10,000 collections are overpriced by a factor of about 100 so watch out.

I pitched a business idea to a few friends and was like, it only needs x money then is profitable in 2 years— never happens in biotech. You need angel raise, seed, series A, 10-15 year timeline. I show them the cost savings for customers and how much I sell for, how many likely sales per year, how much it costs to produce etc— how much profit can pay for even more products and improving the first suite of products iteratively. (Similar products without customer savings sell thousands of units per year; I literally need 10 sales to break even). Every single person was like “how will you get series A?” And I’m like, I don’t need it— I’m profitable. They’re like “what do you mean?” I couldn’t make it any clearer. Everyone wants to know where the free grant money comes from or the investor splurge with the easy exit before the shit hits the fan. Doesn’t even occur to people that you can just make something that makes money 😂

I had this conspiracy thought a week ago and told my friends because how else are they going to turn a profit.
After working with it for a month or two now, I think this is also why Ai forgets and does random tasks without you asking or stretches out iterations to change like 1 line at a time.
The purpose of enterprise and consumer Ai is to extract bitcoin from people who think they’re using Ai to extract bitcoin directly from other people/ savings on human labor.
But it doesn’t have to be.

You can inscribe a (voluntarily compressed, base64) image on kind1 tags while also uploading it to nostr.build (so that it is viewable on primal etc) on https://tagstr.space
I also made a zap tally museum so that people can collect tagstrs they zapped and the highest zapper gets to additionally hold an artwork in their trophy case (until they are out zapped).
There is a working version of the site where you can use kind 300XX to buy/sell them like NFTs but I wanted to do something a little different. NFTs probably won’t work well here because relays are a little slow to establish ownership and transactions (they happen but maybe an hour later appear to have reverted, even though they haven’t, would likely freak people out on high sales).
I don’t know where badges live but you could probably find somewhere to stuff the metadata 😂

I had two models analyse the site for security issues and sign in, Amber should work fine (previous iterations had the amber and other browser extension buttons separate but I think they combined it), and both said the site is pretty safe beyond trust issues that all sites have (eg you yourself inject malicious code into an upload, typical (rare) 3rd party considerations that are outside of the website owner's control).
