i dont think starting on genesis or replaying from a specific blockheight will work out. Bitcoin is an idea that could never come about again from scratch. Only maybe if civilisation as a whole collapsed and all records of something like bitcoin gets wiped. The humans emerging from that having no memory or record of bitcoin, could it have a chance to restart again. Then again they would run into the same problems we have.
We have to get hashers making their own blocks. I think this is the only path forward. Satoshi assumed every hasher is also a block template creator, he did not forsee FPPS pools. I think incentivising hashers to mine on Datum or StratumV2 is the only way out of this.
I may be wrong but the detestable spam is not easily/readily readable?

I still see a potential way to salvage corechain in the future
One main problem contributing to mining centralisation is hashers are not miners.
Perhaps the most important people to orange pill right now are actually the fiat minded hashers mining for pools that extract 20-30% of their rewards for the predictability of consistent payouts.
If hashers are actual bitcoiners, running their own nodes, and creating their own templates, they would be more involved in discussions on bitcoin’s protocol debates.

I think i see your point. I just think there will forever exist a need for a mechanism to be used to delegate who gets what and how much. Every person brings a different value to society in their own genius ways, and as long as humans are mortal and lifetime is finite, we would like to trade our time and energy for something in exchange. Perhaps when basic necessities like food become so abundant with the help of automation, it trends to free just like the air we breathe, there won’t be a need for money to get food, but there’ll be other things that are still scarce and are in demand. In that world a form of money would still be needed to facilitate that exchange.
The idea of property, and free market itself, is not even a made-up idea, it is the reality of what humans do/use when faced with limited resources, be it time or materials or energy. Things have to be owned, for it to be utilised. The very fact that we are debating ideas here, shows that you own your body and mind, and we own ours.
When Booth says we never had capitalism, it’s because money itself has always been corrupted. Lets call it the free market rather than capitalism. A free market is just humans trading. Money is one half of every trade. When there is an arbitrage to the cost of money creation that is backed by a threat of violence, one group is able to create more units of money for themselves, at the cost of diluting everyone else. This corrupted money creates a corrupted version of “free market”, if we could even call it that anymore, due to the very existence of a monopoly on money creation backed by violence. This creates a zero sum game, where certain people benefit at another’s cost.
In a hypothetical free market where money supply is fixed, therefore the only way to get money is by consensual trade, and because everyone only generally consents to a trade if it provides a nett gain in value for themselves, over time, every trade by every individual is beneficial to everyone participating in that monetary network

Money is the tool that allows people to trade with strangers, hence allowing society to scale past 150 people. Do you know of other ways society can reliably scale without a form of money?

Just finished reading the Silent Weapons for a Quiet War document.
It’s fascinating @nprofile…4ld5 can succinctly summarise every possible thing that happens in our world under the context that we have always lived under a monetary system that was controlled.
If the document is real, we can see how many of the things happening right now could potentially be part of the plan as written in the document, however it is all based on the context of fiat money. Yet the writers make no assertion that the fiat system is the base assumption of their plans, that it could potentially be irrelevant if money is sound.
Started off this read being black-pilled, ended with a renewed sense of hope, thank god for bitcoin.

Multi Institutional Custody seems to be a secure way to hold your main chunk of bitcoin. Third party custody is okay if they do not hypothecate your bitcoin and if you understand the risks.
I do believe however that we should spend with bitcoin as much as we can.

When bitcoin first came about, there were many other companies trying to create their own protocols and market them as having a unique use case. Will the open decentralised secure protocol bounded by energy win? Or is this time different?

Telephone communications could not be built upon, unlike the internet, and bitcoin.
Bitcoin performs the base layer function of storing and transferring value in a decentralised and secure manner perfectly, and that’s all it needs to do.
Privacy tech or faster transactions are already built on layer 2.
If theres any more technological innovations on money, it will be built upon the bitcoin stack.
If the innovation is not about money, it won’t compete with bitcoin.
Just like how any communications innovation, like Nostr, is built on top of the internet stack, instead of inventing a whole new protocol that competes with the internet.
