Had "brunch" with a good friend today. I'm realizing 3 of my 4 closest friends are all 30+ years older than me with #4 being 17 years my senior. I enjoy their wisdom immensely, but if I fuck up and turn my sons against me as they enter adulthood, it won't be long before I have zero bros left living in my circle. It's fixed. I missed a secondary breaker to reset the high pressure lockout caused by the fan not running due to the blown capacitor I replaced. I was SOOO close. Back down to 78.3 and dropping.

HVAC buddy said I did everything right, EXCEPT, when I flipped the main breaker for reset, I missed the secondary breaker at the blower that controlled the high pressure lockout reset.
Flat out refused to take my money because he "only had to reset one breaker."
Already back under 80° inside and dropping fast.

AC went out overnight because of course. Swapped the capacitor and the contactor this morning. Still nothing. Hopefully my HVAC guy can work a miracle on the compressor to get it to flip on cause I can't afford a whole new unit.

I started with a Frisbee lol. Put 2 screws in it so it would sit on top of the pole boxing. Then my wife found a mounted "bird bath" at Aldi. It's way too shallow for a bird bath cause it would evaporate by noon here so I use it for chirpcuteries.

I've put trays out on the top of my fence cause they like to be elevated with lots of visibility. But you'll also get blue jays depending on where you are, (corvids are awesome) using the same methods, so be prepared to start putting out more quantity. Or just watch em race for it.

Peanuts in the shell are their favorite (the neighbors can build a damn bridge afaic.) I also take shelled peanuts and crush em to sprinkle along my fence top. Kip is 100% correct, come up with a whistle unique to you when you put stuff out for them, and they'll soon learn it and arrive immediately. When it's cooler, I also put out little bits of bacon fat trimmings and they get HAPPY.
