I arrived here not by running or as a reaction to being treated poorly, the poor treatment was a result of my already being an atheist.
I think the most uncomfortable thing for a lot of christians is that many atheists became that way by reading the Bible, that is what it was for me.
If you are ever curious what the bible looks like to an atheist, I highly recommend the book God is Disappointed In You.
I'm not going to hassle you either because all you had to say for your religion was calls to kindness. My biggest complaint about the christianity I usually encounter is that it is primarily about subservience and never passing along any of Jesus teachings about kindness or forgiveness or any other common human decency.
I think you are honestly curious and you seem to have understood my point about how you see a tainted perspective of atheism because you are always bringing your Christianity into each conversation about atheism you are in. Being an atheist is different than being not a Christian or not religious. I'm not sure how to explain it from 0 but I'm happy to try to answer questions about atheism when Christians aren't around or being addressed.

That's just an evidenceless assertion too.
You can't possibly think that I as an atheist believe those things aren't true or you have no understanding of atheism. If you do understand that atheists do believe that, and knowing that I grew up in the church and have read the bible, and heard your arguments before, why would you assume I would change my mind now with no evidence presented other than a stranger on the internets word?
I think that you show that there is no evidence for god by your arguments completely assuming that I should accept things without evidence.

You are still missing the point. I don't go around thinking about god any more than I go around thinking about the tooth fairy. The tooth fairy isn't in my context or frame at all.
Now if a middle aged man came up to me and wanted to tell me about how I should believe in the tooth fairy and that will make my life better, I'm going to attempt to break the bad news to him because I think a middle aged man should have a more accurate and less laughable world view.
I didn't carry a chip on my shoulder about the tooth fairy around. I don't frame my world as anti tooth fairy. Tooth fairy fan came to me and brought that context with him and forced it onto me. If he had never mentioned his tooth fairy fandom I would never think to bring it up unless one of my kids just lost a tooth.
Now if 80% of the middle aged dudes I met believed in the tooth fairy I might take the time to write a book to them so I don't need to repeat myself as often. That doesn't make the tooth fairy real. It doesn't mean I frame my world around the non existence of the tooth fairy. It just means that other people are coming and forcing that context into my life more frequently.
Basically your entire argument is based on a lack of understanding that wherever you go there you are. When you aren't here, the rest of us aren't talking about the same things as when you are here bringing up your favorite subjects. If Christians were as rare as middle aged dudes who believed in the tooth fairy, there wouldn't be that pile of literature about god not being real the same way there aren't a bunch of books about the tooth fairy being made up.
As a side note, Christian cruelty to people who want to leave the church knows no limits. Despite having parents and grandparents alive and with homes with available rooms leaving the church meant becoming homeless for me as a young man. That is so common I have 0 fear that sharing it will dox my identity. That means that many of us have unresolved emotional issues when the subject comes up. Still the same facts hold. They are stuck in that anti church state of being because of something the christians they have interacted with did to them. Still all about framing relative to earthly behavior by regular human beings.

I don't know if we can know how close our understanding is to the original stoics. I know that there are a number of abuses and misuses of stoicism floating around like manosphere stoicism and tech bro stoicism.
I've read more than one but less than all of Holiday's books on it as well as some translations of the source material and I'm confident in saying Ryan knows his stuff and has probably captured the original intent better than any other author I know of.

Did you know that they've discovered that the gloves researchers use to handle test materials shed microplastics? That means that basically all research on the subject to date is invalid and needs to be redone.

I don't think that is not stoic. It's not Zen or Tao but it seems perfectly fine to view things as obstacles in stoicism. Stoicism is more concerned with how your mental state is around obstacles you encounter.
That is my entirely human, flawed, and not an expert understanding of those philosophies. I do have Ryan Holiday on my side on the stoic front which is a pretty solid place to be.

I woke up this morning and realized that my assumption that feudalism is bad was taught at the same time by the same people as my assumption that capitalism is good.
I don't think that changes my mind that syndicalism is superior to both of them but it is a perfect example of catching additional untested assumptions once you start pulling on a thread. Socrates was on to something, at least according to Plato he was.

Um, that's simply not true. Atheists don't believe in the supernatural full stop. That criticism includes both god and satan by definition. It feels like god is attacked more because you get more upset by gods existence being challenged than satans. That leads atheist writers to say god more. The criticism lands on both because the proof applies to both. You are arguing the structure of thinking that leads to people writing he/she to be pointedly inclusive. We both know what you meant by he in English and if that still rubs you the wrong way they is the correct word to use.
For a more literal and direct disproof of your point, Carl Sagan called his book "The Demon Haunted World."

Nah, this felt easy but annoying because it was just luck. I knew all 3 of my next guesses after turn 3 but nothing I could do but roll the dice to get the right answer. Luck was not on my side. At least it wasn't like 5 possibles with 3 guesses left.

As an aside. I'm still kind of cooking on this one. Like you said, lots of meat on that bone. Once you find and abandon an untested assumption the next problem is the even bigger challenge of finding all the other ideas that were leaning on it and don't have sufficient support now. What else did I have wrong because I drew the conclusion from this first idea that I was wrong about.

So the story of the history of capitalism revolves around like 1700s and 1800s tradespeople. The blacksmith owned all his tools and therefore owned all the value produced in his shop. Things were morally right in the world.
History plods along and somebody comes and invents a tool the average blacksmith can't afford, say the Auto-hammer. A rich jerk buys the blacksmith an auto-hammer and declares that since he owns all the tools he gets first dibs on the value of the work from the shop and that will keep all allegedly morally right in the world and it best encourages the rich jerk to keep buying tools for people.
Replace tools with farmland and that is feudalism. As a serf it is imperative that you never question that the blacksmith still brings all the skill and all the labor to the equation before and after but somehow all of his rights over the value of his productivity got taken away.
If you switch from capitalism to syndicalism you cut out the rich jerk. 2 or 3 blacksmiths go in together on the auto-hammer and work in shifts instead. Now they own the tools, skill, and labor again. All is morally right in the world.
If you turn this over in your head honestly for a bit you'll find a number of benefits. For example, in capitalism one guy who may not even live in this town gets to decide if the factory pollutes the local water supply. In syndicalism the factory is collectively owned by the people who work there every day, which means that they all live close buy. Now they have to agree to pollute the local water supply them and their children all drink from.
TLDR, read the definition of feudalism then read the definition of capitalism. You'll find that it was basically just a s/farmland/capital/g (sed syntax find and replace globally) They had to make the change as the economy changed to one where expensive machines were more economically important than farmland.

So information theory has a point relevant to this. Ever notice some languages seem fast and some seem slow to listen to? The effect is caused by native speakers of different languages speaking at different syllable per minute rates.
Here is where it gets interesting. Different languages encode different amounts of bits of information per syllable of spoken language. When you rate spoken language by bits per minute it seems we all talk at the same rate globally.
The going assumption is that hints at a limitation of the human brain to process spoken language at speed.

Do not run your node OS on a microSD. That is a recipe for failure, literally. MicroSD doesn't handle lots of write cycles well and OS drives get lots of small writes. You can use a real drive over USB on a raspberry pi and it doesn't know the difference.
If you insist on ignoring me, please at least spring for a drone video rated microSD.

Dear every flashlight manufacturer and marketer,
My favorite flashlight is my dimmest flashlight, it doesn't even have a high mode. My second favorite flashlight is the flashlight that on dim is the 2nd dimmest flashlight I own. The most annoying thing about the 2nd favorite is that I have to cycle through high to get to dim. It has been this way since I stopped owning any incandescent flashlights many years ago. Firefox says they patched 271 zero day flaws in the latest release thanks to Mythos.

I think the distinction matters.
A man who has nothing right now can't hurt you without immoral actions. He has nothing to offer but the absence of his violence.
After he has rebuilt his life, he can do no wrong and hurt you. He has value now that he adds to the people around him. That gives him the option to hurt you by simply taking his ball and going home. He takes his value away and focuses it on those who he feels deserve it. He can even choose to keep it entirely to himself.
If you have become dependent on that value, that is a risk for you. Since he is willing to go back to nothing if you aren't the risk is asymmetric.
