I don't think I felt the jitteriness when I first tried 1-2 weeks ago. I'm on GrapheneOS on Pixel 9 Pro. Wisp 1.1.0 and 1.1.1 had these issues, not sure about earlier versions

So far so good. I haven’t fully moved over yet. It’s a bit time consuming. Only a small number of apps that I normally use that doesn’t seem to work on it, even with exploit compatibility mode turned on.

I've been using GrapheneOS on a Pixel 6a for a while just to play around with it, so I'm familiar enough. I got a Pixel 9 Pro now.
I used Android for 10 years before switching to iPhone, and I've switched between Linux, macOS, and Windows over the years too, so I'm pretty comfortable with any OS honestly. My next switch later on might actually be from MacBook Pro to Framework Laptop Pro (Linux). I'll still keep Apple devices around so that I can build apps on them.

Wisp on iOS is bad because you’re feeding Apple fanboys more drugs to addict them to staying on a closed platform and you’re making Apple more powerful… is the mental gymnastics that Apple haters go through when they make that argument. Bringing freedom technology to where users are at is the goal and that’s what you’re doing with Wisp. Users have free will to choose what they want to use, and they choose iPhone because they like it. Also, Nostr has only tens of thousands of users at best, so chill. It’s not a big deal.

I still don’t understand why key delegation isn’t a thing. Sign and publish an event with a parent key that everyone knows about that attests a child key is authorized to sign events on its behalf, and then use it in a client. If that client does something the user doesn’t want, sign and publish a revocation from the parent key. Clients need to do extra work of subscribing to these kinds though. Seems like it would absolve the need to have a separate signer app.

Since switching to using a different email alias for each online service that I register on, it’s been interesting to see who’s been selling my information to third parties without my explicit consent. The latest discovery is that New York State (either DMV or Tax department) sold my information off and I got signed up for a conservative news mailing list. 👎🏼

I have a not well thought out idea that there needs to be a Zapstore-like mobile app where it’s your one-stop shop for onboarding to Nostr, secure key storage and profile management, signer, and Nostr App Store. It would be an entry point to all things Nostr but you would need to download micro apps through the app store to access specific functionality.

45 minute wait. Depending on your starting percentage, percentage, and overall utilization of the charging station, it can take up to an hour to charge. New York City is a special place where nothing makes sense. But if you’re on a long drive
outside of the city, it’s quick - no wait and charge for ~20 minutes to get 2-3 hours of drive to the next charging station.

Proton Mail iOS is way better and faster now. I thought about leaving their service before because it was so bad.
It’s still terribly slow on web / desktop but I found a workaround: use Proton Bridge + IMAP email client (like Thunderbird or Apple Mail).

iPhone 13 Pro is noticeably slower than the newer devices. I upgraded from 13 Pro to 14 Pro last year and it was obvious. iOS 26 seems to be running ok for me.
