Been a #fitness app subscriber for years (JEFit) and really enjoyed the different features. However I found that the community features were awkward and nobody from my social network were there so it felt like another social platform. The sub fees were also very high.
I also tried Wger, a self hosted version. I was admin for a while trying to clean the mess of a DB since it was FOSS and anyone could contribute to the db. That means a lot of duplicates, non standard pictures, weird muscle selection. It was a free for all.
So I rolled up my sleeves and decided to build my own #FOSS web base #fitness PWA. It is leveraging #nostr and NIP101-e for exercises and workout sheets. It uses NIP46 for remote signer and saves everything on the device.
I am personally using Clave to test it.
I invite you guys to use it and report me any bugs or feedback.

Hermes’ is pure convenience but consume quite a bit of token. It’s good to manage my server so I find that ChatGPT is the right sub for it.
It however missing the edge for vibe coding. I will try to do the rough with it but will probably polish using Claude code with @nprofile…4u96 credits.

Not sure what you mean by this, Bitcoin has the green light and is considered a commodity. It is public on the chain and is well used by the tech space. What is the “compliance issues”?
If anything it is the easiest to integrate more than Shitcoins

I don’t agree, a house is not an expense. Like any investment, you need to purchase it at the right price, at the right time, in the right place.
After, you need like anything else maintain it and spend smartly. You need to make sure any purchases or addition will have a positive ROI.
I would rather pay a mortgage for 25 years than to pay rent all my life.
It is true that the house is locked equity and can only have access once sold, but it is a sure at least 2 or 3x if you keep it for 25years.

Debating between leaving a free exercise db with around 600 exercises OR serving exercises on a public #nostr relay that will have the nice fitting image for Workstr.
I find that installing a DB for so many exercises is just bloated, especially if people usually go around the same 10-15 exercises.
What you guys think? Which exercises you guys do? With your own weight and with dumbbells?

Yeah, that’s why I built an Nostr identity manager “Idenstr”. When you use different clients, they each tend to publish and change your relay list in order to be more efficient. The problem is that after a while, you can easily get confused and mixed up in relays because you can start loosing following and conversations.
I did verify and my “local truth” isn’t matching my relay list published anymore. This is in my opinion the most confusing part of Nostr. Each clients overwrite your published kinds.

It doesn’t, it’s just a toggle, if I press write, it changes to write.
I however can confirm you that all of them I’ve been able to write to (could be the odd 1 or 2) but regardless I should have the option of toggle both and worst case it fails to write to the odd relay.
Right now, I can choose only 1 option

Idenstr is coming along great. A #selfhosted #nostr identity manager. Manage your following and relays with a local backup (truth). You can after compare your local relay and following list with what is published on your relays to know your truth %.
You can also publish your local truth to the relays to make sure that your kind are always truthful.
I also made some analytics that can help you discover following and relays based on different metrics that you can costumize. You can now be your own algorithm.
