One thing that @nprofile…wywf does that no other clients I know of do is media downloads. Why are others making this UX so weird and complicated? I open a video or an image and there are no controls. In Amethyst, there's always this glorious "download" button. Watch and learn.

Yeah, it's really sad that they fooled so many people. Though, writing was on the wall for a long time.
One thing I don't fully agree with is that ANY software engineer can fully understand the cryptography, or at least I wouldn't trust many. But there should be enough cryptographers in a community to scrutinize the code that's available for inspection.

Ok, I zapped back but this time using NWC. I've never ever had it set up in the past. Every single time I wanted to zap Amethyst would redirect me to @nprofile…vavr where I had to confirm.
I actually likes that flow way better.
What bothers me is that I don't know if this broke on Minibits side, or the @nprofile…wywf side.

I can't zap anymore.
Just tried it and Amethyst asks which app to choose. It doesn't even offer @nprofile…vavr which was my main driver. It worked perfectly and reliably. I haven't changed the lightning address, but I do see a red exclamation mark next to it. No clues why or what does it mean. How to debug this @nprofile…2lxp?

Now, this badass UX.
- clicked to zap someone, selected amount
- @nprofile…vavr opens with the info of the invoiice and a "Pay now" button
- at the same time, it tells me there's a new update
- clicked to update, curious to see what happens to the invoice
- app updated (don't remember if it restarted, but it would make sense that it did)
- the invoice is still there with the "Pay now" button
- clicled the button, zapped a nostrich

Alternative way is to have Alby browser extension, but I think Minibits is way easier.
The main thing to look for is the ability to easily copy the address from the wallet to your EXISTING profile. Some other wallets are also easy to set up, but they create the new nostr profile (key pair) for you.

The absolute easiest way is to download @nprofile…vavr wallet, and create a new random identity. You will have some random email assigned to it. It serves as lightning email you can just copy to your nostr profile. And you're good to go.
I'd just start there. Worry about setting up a wallet for larger transactions later. This simple setup can go a long way.
