Miners must sell their newly minted Bitcoin to pay for electricity. If exchanges refuse to list the standard chain, the miners' coins become worthless, forcing them to signal support for BIP-110. Because zero economic giants support BIP-110, a node majority would simply result in those nodes successfully disconnecting themselves from the real, functioning Bitcoin network
