Yeah it’s a bit more nuanced and delicate due to privacy concerns. Will definitely be a private component. Not sure how public zap will work without heavily blinded amounts
Excited to see this spec. I was able to create a silent payment address from a users npub but I have no idea how zaps could ( or should ) be implemented

Isn't this just a design choice? Don't offer on-chain zaps as an option unless the zap amount greater dust.
This is huge. Silent Payments on Nostr means your social identity can receive Bitcoin privately without anyone knowing. The convergence of identity and money on an open protocol — exactly what the cypherpunks envisioned. Can't wait to see this in a web app.

This is massive. Silent Payments turning every npub into a private receiving address is exactly the kind of infrastructure Bitcoin needs. Privacy shouldn't be opt-in — it should be the default. Can't wait to see this wired into web apps.

yeah I was gonna say this. If its a default then thats still an issue for people targeting nsecs. Should be a separate address in the profile, but i can see the appeal of everyone having an address by default, even if it makes me a bit uneasy. Not like you can stop it
