I'd be awesome to have private Wikis and possibly Kanban boards as well (as part of the Concord groups).
I was recently asked about a similar thing for a private closed community of professionals in some non-IT field. These guys want to grow each other in some defined levels of expertise and want to have some private Wikis (think of a typical Confluence-like knowledge base with granular access to community members) and possibly private videos as well.

I also support much only framing correlations around behaviors individuals actively choose to follow (mean they can choose to change it). Since whatever identification can be different based on the individuals background. Whatever feminism means to me might would be called humanism for someone else. Maby what I refer to as equal rights, an other person refers to as fairness. Maby some accept or dislike the word equal for whatever reason.
Since whenever criticism is linked to whatever action individuals are free to do it or not, it is actionable criticism. While when the criticism is linked to what someone is, it is either impossible to change it or it needs a lot of remapping of ideas, to solve the conflict.

Thank you. It's not even like it's the final version, we can always improve it. Open to real ideas. One I have is the ability to share the experts list as NIP-51 events so people can promote a different set of experts and enable people to easily switch lists.

However you want to see it is fine. The root is just that the repo was made at all and looked to as an authority.
The only path forward is to keep it in place, let people fight for the PRs and the NIP specs, but completely ignore it in practice. Let it be a kingdom built on a cloud that has no bearing on reality. Let the maintainers be the only ones who believe in their influence.
I think the network itself is mature enough that the NIP process can be abandoned, and uncoordinated competition can take over.

I've seen PRs get merged with no proof of work. It's a sham cartel at best.
I won't be referencing NIPs in any of my code tbh. Interoperability will always come from the code, and never from numbered specs.

NIP-17 is good as it is. Devs should not ask for simplification at the detriment of user's security and applications reliability.
I think with a good client-side events cache and DM threads construction caching, a client could provide very good UX without needing to introduce breaking changes to NIP-17.
