It’s gotten to the point where - at my wife’s request - I’m supposed to sit down with my daughter to “listen to everything” and then "apologize for everything". Which I won’t do. No, because I believe that would be the final nail in the coffin of my relationship with my daughter, and it would reinforce her mistaken belief that she is solely the product of her childhood experiences. Everyone is the architect of their own fortune. It’s entirely up to my daughter whether she plays the victim or overcomes obstacles.
