ZEUS has supported keysend payments since 2020.
Sort of... technically, yes anyone can drop an lnaddress in and it will work***.
But right now 90-some% of the existing library has keysend node addresses in the feed. So if youre trying to boost a track, but if your wallet doesn't support keysend, chances are it won't go through. Since most commonly used wallets don't support keysend, the friction of finding a new wallet already loses the majority of potential paying users.
If you list an lnaddress in your feed, the opposite may be the case. Since most of the library is coded to recieve via keysend, most of the people actually boosting are doing so with keysend wallets. While not guaranteed, a good chance your lnaddress is missing a lot of payments. We use lnaddress and have noticed a lot of missed splits due to failed payments, especially on shows with a lot of splits involved.
We're in a situation where you can't put the genie back in the bottle. The existing content creators and a small pool of existing paying users are using keysend while the larger pool of potential paying users and adopters are not keysend compatible.
If more wallets (like zeus) supported keysend, it would immediately open them up as a solution to problem that unlocks a pretty significant use-case. And would immediately put them in the forefront as the recommended go-to wallet for 4v4 music.
I say all this as a non-dev and admittedly not understanding what it takes to implement keysend. Im viewing it from 21k from up.
@nprofile…erkn hackathon #2 complete!!
Amazing to see the developments over #wotathon - I’m more bullish than ever on #nostr and the foundations were building for a decentralized #weboftrust that puts the power back in the hands of the individual and YOUR personalized network.
Thanks to all the passionate builders who put in #proofofwork and came week after week to our calls…
#nevent1q…fxmd
A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the first ever Web of Trust #wotathon on #nostr!
We’ll be sharing more in the coming days and weeks for you to learn more about and try for yourselves the high quality outputs that builders produced during the 6 month hackathon.
Congrats to the winners!! @npub1mgv…e7q2 - 25M sats - Nostr Veil
@nprofile…nadp - 10M sats - SatShoot

Make it so the reciever can receive whatever the sender wants to send. An npubs should create a default L1, lighting/cashu, monero or anything the reciever wants to enable and scan for. Ideally the default is silent payments address. Even if the reciever has not selected an option the sender should be able to send it after a couple of warnings that the user has not set this up and it might be lost.
this why we don't have the spark thingy on Memely 😂 @npub10h3…j6d5

@npub18am…p424 You got out of higher ed at a good time. Canvas got compromised this week and now there's a ransom message showing up on their website: https://www.thedp.com/article/2026/05/penn-canvas-shinythunters-data-breach-hack-second
Indeed, i mentioned earlier that nostr would explode if someone like Taylor Swift or any celebrity fkr that matter would tweet something like: bye folks, I quit twitter, you will find me on nostr now!
The other option to disrupt is to make the tech invisible and offer something unique everyone wants but noone has.
For me, it was (among other things) the ability to make my Musik available for free, instantly, hassle free, without intermediaries. And the escape of the algo of doom scrolling.
If there would be an easy to implement guarantee to see if a user is actually a not or a human, that might be GREAT for many people. (Not because ai slop bad but because of transparency, depending on the interaction/task it is favorable to talk to a human or an AI and so on...)
I mean in the sense that they might think they got hacked because number went down without them transacting.
I’m really afraid the workaround for that could be stablecoin zaps.
Seems no one has made the privacy argument yet. 😵💫🤷♂️
Why on chain though?
I think I have PSTD (or PSBTD?) fees are dirt cheap, but privacy is still pretty broken on chain.
I'd much much much rather prefer people use lightning by default.
Sometimes you just gotta try it and see which ui freaks out the users most. Maybe they freak out later but they're already in it by then so they're more open to it.
I think the big problem here is the legality. People could get some tokens for just using the platform or posting notes and reciprocate never knowing it weren't dollars, but if the app blows up, lawyers will come a-knockin' "is you a money transmitter then yea?"
FYI @Greenpeace, I switched my energy supplier to one that uses renewables last month. Why? It's saving me money on my electric bill now that I'm mining #Bitcoin at home. Cheap, renewable energy and Bitcoin mining go together like Ripple and getting sued by the SEC. 🤝

Thanks for bug report, forwarded to them. I’ve been able to use it, although had to close and reopen app once to refresh
I completely agree with you. But I think some users will use this platform to make other incredible things. Just like #bitcoiners did creating other decentralized platforms. But yes, our first goal should be to attract users from other social media.
My best use of AI yet…

I don't really know what I was doing, I just grabbed a trippy image from the internet and made you transparent lol

I’m not sure it’s much different than the mantra “spend and replace.”
I too like remote code execution. 🙋♂️

Nice! That means no need for a 24/7 online node to get into the game
I would say there IS friction just a different kind to bitcoin. Bitcoin has responsibility friction. Everything else has efficiency, control, and freedom friction. Many people complaining about "my check took two days to clear" or "the put a hold on my card when I got gas" don't know about Bitcoin's efficiency in those areas.
Btw, my magazine has a german edition as well. Available on PressStr as well.

GM @nprofile…g5da !
Our boss @nprofile…x6fx said we had to.
I forget the question that I asked. Who has shitposted on Nostr? Maybe. 🤣
Please feel free, I don't personally care at least or should anyone for that matter
You look like a student and your teacher just called your name during roll call, you are definitely saying "Here" 😆
I don't want to offend the feelings of Bitcoin fans, so I think I'll skip this question. :)
It does but you have to use what's in the RSS feed when sending payments.
I fully agree, yet I cannot dismiss frictions that arise from technical complexity. Don't you think that a much easier to use Bitcoin would also have an effect on adoption?
GM @npub18am…p424 pura vida! 💜
Have you tried Tomagostrich yet?

It is _not_ the lack of technology but the mindset/mentality/lack of political backbone that makes people normies.
if someone claims something is “THE” solution, it most likely isn’t.
Does the spec support Lightning addresses yet?
True enough, but what was the alternative to the computer back then? There are instead today's hundreds of apps that are going to transfer dollars for you with no friction. If normies adapted Bitcoin because the FED is evil they wouldn't be normies, right?
For many people, nostr IS already the weirdest virtual land, isnt it? The concept of decentralized permission less posting is foreign to people of twitter and Instagram and the like.
OH YEAH Uno I just gave you Early Access to publish on Fanfares! Take it for a spin and let us know what you think. 🫶
Great book soon!! Congratulations, so happy for you ✨ 🧡 🪴 👏
What are your thoughts on a solution like FediMint?
I think you're misunderstanding the point: normies need this precisely so that adoption is not prevented by technical hurdles.
