Cash settles instantly, now for digital technologies I understand that’s a bit ridiculous but Bitcoin’s settlement is unpredictable ranging from 10 minutes to 24 hours+.
I understood economics before I got into crypto.

The problem with any kind of labeling from ordinary clients perspective (like YakiHonne) is scaling: it takes time to receive the reports, even more time in total will take to receive the reactions to the reports (or their NIP-45 COUNTs ideally). All this just to decide whether to show a post or not.
Yet I think what you suggest is possible and could be useful at least for trust ranking analysis bots.
Or if you mean to request *something like* a NIP-45 COUNT, so relays could aggregate all reaction counts to all spam reports for given posts in a *single* request—this makes a lot of sense for ordinary clients too, yes. Yet this is hard to promote such a feature because some believe this implies not-dumb-enough-relays.

Bitcoin is supposed to be P2P cash.
Cash is only supposed to maintain a relative value, it’s supposed to depreciate, or appreciate slowly, reliably, & predictably.
Miners are crucial since they are both full nodes, & block creators, most miners that operate do so because they gain in either fiat, or Bitcoin terms, while some may altruistically mine, or mine to include only their transactions, most mine to seek a profit of some sorts.
Then why is there lightning if ten minutes is good enough (it’s also not always reliably 10 minutes either, fees, etc.)
Tail emissions fixes the fee problem.
But yet other blockchains, protocols, etc. are working on the solutions, yes right now it’s all theoretical until it isn’t but it’s better to try to make preventative measures to slow it down than to do nothing, & wait.
Seems obvious to me. And I think it's obvious to most of us. The silent majority.

I really think bip110 is going to happen and It will go largely unnoticed. It's just a course correction. There is already enough support that the miners are starting to restrict the blocks they mine, even if they aren't loud about it. That's how it looks to me. No need to call people names.
I have that $100 usage credit on Claude they gave out for Fable, and don't know what to burn it on. 🤔
I think I like this. I tend to see the potential in people and then feel let down when they don't reach my high expectations.
