禁止部分内部人士出售多达9.115亿股股票的限制将于8月6日解除，也就是这家火箭、卫星和人工智能公司首次公布季度业绩的两天后。这还只是开始，到今年年底之前，将有数十亿股股票获得交易资格。
SpaceX的高估值，以及为8月份潜在抛售浪潮所做的准备，在过去一个月吸引了大批卖空投资者。S3 Partners汇编的数据显示，目前可供交易的股票中约有30%被卖空。数据显示，随着该股较6月16日的收盘高点下跌37%，这些看跌押注带来了约70亿美元的账面利润。
