If you're not already maintaining batteries for other purposes, yes, a battery lawn mower sucks. Unmaintained batteries equals needing new batteries all the time. I got a corded lawn mower for low maintenance for places I can use it. I also maintain three gas mowers for other places, but usually only use one. A battery mower would be nice since I already use the batteries in other power tools.
