Review: "The Art of Acceptance" - Protoje (Reggae)
Reggae music has come a long way since its early days with legends like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Israel Vibration, Toots and the Maytals, and many others. Protoje is the rightful heir, delivering a roots reggae sound with a subtle touch of modernity.
The album is beautifully crafted. Protoje is as active as ever and rarely disappoints. It features plenty of high-quality collaborations, notably Shenseea on the track Goddess, which breathes pure sensuality. The surprise track Something I Said also brings an unexpected soul/bluesy vibe into the mix. This is easily one of the best reggae albums of 2026, perfect for summer listening.
💿 The artwork on the sleeve looks stunning, and the marbled vinyl pressing is beautifully executed.
