Yea, she was a teenage girl who was extremely sheltered and privileged beyond her understanding.
The Queen's Hamlet is interesting because it came about as she got older and got heavily into Rousseau's philosophy of going back to nature. She was ridiculed at Versailles for being basically a country bumpkin from Austria. But if course, fate made her queen so she couldn't just go move someplace quieter she had to stay at Versailles.
It wasn't a toy, it was a working farm which is why the revolutionaries didn't destroy it.
Idk. I wouldn't have liked her if she were my queen and I was starving. But I think I might have been more of an asshole if I had lived her life, idk.
Deserving of beheading, I am not the one to judge. The ones I feel most sympathy for in that situation are her children. They did not lead long or happy lives despite not having any agency in the situation.
