I get where the confusion comes from. You must have seen my comment as a post on my page. It’s a reply to a post whose author talked about ditching Claude for Deepseek.

They went with Blake2b right?
Here's the map. This whole thing is so strange though. Choosing a PoW algo should be a very carefully considered design choice, not a game of random chance.

It kinda did. Considering how many people used it before, and that many nodes are run by companies on aws. Old Core and Knots are strongly represented. Of course you can set the parameters, at least for now, but it's also about sending a message that their new normal is not ok. https://npub1nxa4tywfz9nqp7z9zp7nr7d4nchhclsf58lcqt5y782rmf2hefjquaa6q8.blossom.band/db6d020ded9b9869b523923b7d916faa672922e90ab051861bbeb4f5c4a37097.jpg
If it makes you feel better, I checked with my LLM before posting, as I had a hazy recollection of some such limitation, but wanted to seem smart by stating it as a fact pulled from my own knowledge in my reply, by omitting that tidbit.

It's crazy how few wallets have the last word assistance thing built in.
I told you.
Go ahead, ignore it more, fuck the defense even more. Big models will open when it will be already too late. That's how censorship works, you always loose.

I recall there was a lot of naks (not that deep into it), but if the community was opposed then why did running knots not take off? To answer your question because it’s probably the most secure out of the lot I guess, and since it’s such a minor thing to change (someone running a node should have no problem doing it), to correct at the level of the node?
People comparing it to UASF and saying “bitcoin dead wallst took over” need to understand this. I think that no one would support a rushed attempt with threats of forking off *without any plan*, especially when the solution did not fix the problem.
Can we just have relay policy already?!
If it's any consolation, bech32 excludes the letter "i" and the number 1, so "mike" wouldn't have been possible.

Miner centralization on 110 is going to be way way worse than Bitcoin sees now.
I can't recall any comments about miner centralization pre fork, it was all support us or you are a pedo. Luke literally called the longest chain bpedo when tweeting about the new algorithm selection. That's what I was talking about when I posted the other day about being right and getting no support.
I still don't agree, but man 110 supporters really made enemies at every possible turn by their approach. No opportunity for rational discourse. No room allowed for sane people to see it differently.

Why would you run the thing the community opposed and they still pushed.

Why can’t you run core30 and manually adjust your op_return to 43 bytes or whatever it was?
So Monero fees are interesting, because since the blocks generally aren't completely full and there's no transaction backlog, you can pay virtually no fee and be included in the next block. Most wallet software however tends to badly overestimate fees and people overpay all the time. The coinbase reward is 0.6XMR, but you sometimes see blocks containing total fees up to 0.025, a significant addition to the reward, while other blocks contain virtually nothing for fees.
There's people on here I disagree with profoundly on some subjects. If it seems to be all their account is about, I'll usually unfollow. Occasionally I'll block, but I generally reserve that for spam.

Said the clanker ... eh, it rhymes anyway
Yeah, my understanding is when new block hits you are better off starting to line an empty block than figure out what txns to include before you start searching. A short time after you can build non empty and try for fees.
