I've been a machinist for 20 years.
I'm about tapped out of this grind.
I tell my superiors how it is. They hate it. But they can't fire me because I'm too productive and efficient.
There is also a huge lack of willing to learn/capable new employees showing up over the last 10 years.
AI hasn't seemed to replace demand/skill in the slightest. Covid was the same shit. "Work from home".

Ah yes, think you ran this past me before, and it rings somewhat true. I think it kinda underlies the reason I don't hate Trump ad much as I probably should.
