You can run simulations and make things really robust in 3d drawings. But the real work is when the literal, physical rubber hits the road. Software doesn't have an equivalent of that unless its controlling physical machinery. You learn engineering when nature breaks your shit, not just because the logic you wrote was flawed.
If you cut that out then you're right, you wouldn't even be a good technition much less a good engineer.

That's actually a great class for an undergrad computer science student.
My degree was in mechanical so that was just every class for me. Bridges killing people, machinery killing people, electrical systems killing people, etc. it was just the reality of the profession. Safety and professionalism is always a top priority.

Dúvido muito que as IAs tomaram os empregos braçais, pelo menos por uns 10 anos estamos seguros de um robô carpintaria aqui no Br rsrs, mas sobre o desemprego por conta das IAs serem mais eficientes e produtivas, acho que uma RBU não irá mudar muita coisa além do curto prazo esperado (maior demanda por matérias primas, bens de consumo básico e menos "consumismos" como iPhones ou videogames do ano). Mas, no quesito mais prático sobre as IAs e os trabalhos online (excluindo os trabalhos braçais por enquanto), acho que dá pra contornar essa perca de valorização de trabalho humano "IAnizando" seu trabalho. Fazendo oque o ser humano faz de melhor: se adaptar as condições que temos, no caso, o mercado de trabalho e se especializar em trabalho que a IA ainda não tomou, como a arte abstrata e de produção cinematográfica.

Indo direto ao ponto: pobres marginalizados, em favelas e regiões pobres do Nordeste/Sertão.
Eu não manjo muito sobre essa discussão de uma RBU, mas a lógica de uma renda feita para toda população, independente de ser rica ou pobre, e o fato disso vir de impostos (ricos pagariam mais e pobres menos), só me leva a crer que isso iria apenas detonar a economia. De fato uma RBU iria diminuir a pobreza de forma imediata, e parcialmente a desigualdade de renda, pois os impostos arrecadados seriam proporcionais com base no patrimônio da pessoa. Porém se você tem uma nação inteira que tem um valor fixo de renda integral (ex: R$500-R$600/mês), você terá um PIB consideravelmente menor, queda na valorização do real, se os gastos médios do afegão se deslocam de bens de consumo (como o pobre que tem iPhone rs) para bens básicos de sobrevivência (gás, cesta básica, boletos), a oferta de trabalho é alta e continuará sendo alta por um tempo após a implantação da RBU, porém uma demanda relativamente baixa. Porém , isso pode aumentar um pouco a taxas de trabalho de trabalho e diminuir a porcentagem do desemprego, pois a população sem o bolsa família, e com uma renda de apenas R$500 (valor fictício), tem as prioridades voltadas à uma 2° renda. Se a RBU for alta, o Brasil irá crachar em 6-8 meses pela queda brusca do PIB e a dependência integral da população sobre a renda, diminuindo a oferta de trabalho e os setores como mercados, agro etc.
