Within about a minute it pulled the routing table of the machine it was running in. and attempted to do a port scan on the hosts it saw (itself and the gateway). I forget all of the information available to an unprivileged user.

That handles both. If you want the convenience of a built in wallet, just generate two identical 32 byte keys. Use one as an nsec, and the other for bitcoin. There is no reason to have them linked to your identity.
