Pruning occurs after validation. It's purely a storage choice and has nothing to do with whether you download the entire chain or not. The IBD operates exactly the same with the pruned node simply dropping block data earlier than a certain threshold after validation and keeping the UTXO set.
In other words, it's literally no different.

Bought all his records on vinyl, listened to “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” hundreds of times trying to learn it on piano, tried to find the deep meaning of “The Nylon Curtain”
But I kind of consumed my obsession and moved on. Until tonight, when I listened to Billy’s interview on Rick Beato’s YouTube channel. I remembered what an amazing songwriter he is and what a great taste he he has for melodies.
Needless to say, I’ve been listening to nothing but Billy Joel. Now that I’m older and have more experience with music, I appreciate the small details even more!
Definitely. I would recommend trying out Flotilla too if you want to run a server for your community. It's great to have lots of options.

The first week we had some annoying headaches, the second week was better, the third week was even better, and now I wouldn't want to go back.
There are some minor issues we deal with dogfoodinng, but it's completely usable.
The minor annoyances? I'd like notifications to show me the user name and profile pic.
The mobile UI is essentially a shrank down web page and doesn't feel like a mobile app to me. It needs more mobile gestures too.
I'd love to somehow see a state sync between mobile and web. I don't want to make thing ready in two places.
I want DMs to work better. Still some improvements there are needed.
All of this said, everything else works as well as any other Nostr app out there. Some things better, some things about the same, maybe some things worse.
The rate of improvement is incredible though.
Every single day we have multiple bugs squashed and a new release.
We're making Armada the best place for building too. All of my LLM workflow is now in Armada. Maybe I'll demo this tomorrow.

El Salvador was so corrupt that if you tried to saved the country via the courts, you would never succeed because the judges and majority of politicians were part of the criminal circle. He said that himself from what I remember.
So yes, a "cool" dictator like he called himself was the only way to restore a country. I would do the same if I had the chance. The only problem is giving up that power once you have that power.
As you said, they keep renewing the emergency powers. I'm not following what's going on in El Salvador because I don't live there, but what needs to be done is reform the election system and reduce power from the government like separating the education away from the state. I'm not sure if they are actually reforming the election system.
What happened at start is that whoever made this plan under estimated Bitcoiners. They planned on targeting all the Bitcoiners in the world to move to El Salvador, so El Salvador could become the Singapore of Central America.
The problem is Bitcoiners are young and don't want to move to El Salvador and do nothing. They want to build a life and build a business or work for a good company that gives them a good wage. Unfortunately that isn't possible in El Salvador because it's a third world country and the world's system is a massive ponzi system which Bitcoin is trying to destroy.
Many other issues is, that Bitcoiners have no entrepreneurship experience because they live in a fiat system where working for a corporation is what most of the do.
Also, I'm skeptical that there that many rich Bitcoiners there is actually in the world to actually change El Salvador into a rich country. Bitcoiners are different than the fiat rich people. They are more frugal and careful with their money.
Whoever made this plan on trying to lure Bitcoiners into El Salvador doesn't understand the power of the fiat system and possibly believes that most Bitcoiners kept their Bitcoin.
The plan failed to attract enough Bitcoiners and now El Salvador is pivoting into attracting fait rich people or ordinary fiat people to travel and spend their money in El Salvador.
I'm not sure who planned the Bitcoin stuff, but they didn't think it through. Bitcoiners are different than fiat normies it was bound to fail and they also went around it the wrong way.
Bitcoiners are not dumb. The majority of them saw through the hype. Bukele had to do what he did to save the country.
Many other countries are in the same boat. Even Trump. Trump is going through the justice system in order to save the country but he is exposing to the people how corrupt the judges are before he goes arresting the judges.
You made a good video. The truth has too be said but yes they were pushing a massive operation to attract Bitcoiners. It has dyed down. Was El Salvador a honey pot for Bitcoiners? I never got the feeling that it was, but you never know.

The West can print defence budgets. It cannot print refineries, machine tools, skilled workers, magnets or decades of accumulated industrial knowledge.
Financialisation created the illusion that money could replace production. China now controls the bottlenecks exposing that fraud.
It may restrain war, but only if declining empires accept material limits. History suggests they often choose escalation instead.
