For kids, I using Pokémon cards as the example for how money works.
Generally my exact saying is something like:
"You have a super rare charzard card that's worth $500. There's only so many of the cards right? That's why it's valuable and worth the $500.
Well, The government printing money, is basically like Pokémon, saying "we're going to print more of those super rare charzard cards"
But, now that there are 1 million charzard cards like yours, and not only 500,000, it's not worth $500 anymore. It's only worth $250. It's rarity went down from Pokémon printing more cards. Money, basically works the same way.
We collect it and have so much in our savings, then the government prints more, devaluing the dollars I already have. Bitcoin doesn't work that way."
My 5yr old knows how money works already from this and calls dollars, fake money. 🤷🤣🤝🫂💜

Thought for the day: It is one thing to say that a country is built by immigrants. However, it is also true to say that emigrants left their country of origin because they felt that the conditions for their future weren't being met.
Be it conditions of culture, economic, religion , stability , weather or whatever it is, the emigrant makes a tacit acknowledgement those conditions simply are not there. So much so they are prepared to leave, and they are willing to take the risk of going somewhere else.
If you do this, then as an emigrant, it befalls on you to accept, embrace and integrate with whatever culture, economic, religion , stability , weather or whatever your new place has. It is what it is and you have chosen to leave your behind. You cannot expect your new place to change, you have to adapt and change to suit it.
I say this as a person, who has emigrated twice in my life.
