We love our vacations and the beach. Swimming in natural sea water is better than swimming in chlorinated pools, but you are right about the money aspect.
The food is much more expensive, €7 per ice cream in most places?! Can't find meals for less than €15/head. Restaurants aren't less than €30 (onwards, per head), Airbnb's are choking out the locals, cars and pollution, litter and trash in the area and the sea is smothering.
