wouldn't that spur them to increase surveillance?
imagine you were surveilling someone and suddenly their habits changed... they were going dark... wouldn't you single them out for special attention?
Yes in my case I only use it for nostr and nothing personal either, or sometimes to check a website I don't trust but your setup sounds so much better!
Isn't perfect but it is better than nothing
yeah, that's tougher.. no real standard for it.. that whole limits spec you had, or a nip86 http call might do the trick. nip66 wont know per-user access info (prob the wrong place for it unless the client devices start publishing them)
It is true, but generally speaking, systems forget that their transport layer is thing that reverses all privacy that they were supposed to create.
For instance, if you are making a coinjoin and the system is so private that the server just gets an encrypted payload that doesnt review any information about it, but the same server also gets encrypted payloads to bundle them together in a transaction, the system can use IP to log who each participant is in the bundle and then do a time collision to connect the entry IPs to the final bundle id that will show up somewhere else.
These types of coordinators are the best target for a company like ChainAnalysis to reach out to and offer a large payment for their IP logs.
I agree this is why I only want to use nostr with Tor, so glad amethyst always had it and with proxy option for orbot. I would also love if it removed tracking tokens from urls when creating a note I really think that's also a privacy option to care about
Have you thought of moving the swimming pool? (Silicon Valley reference)
Nostalgia Mode - closes the app at a random time no greater than 120s
Them: we have privacy!!
Me: Great, I am using it. Can you see my IP?
Them: yeah! you are here.
Me: Then it's not fucking private, is it?
Gets them every time.
you're gonna run out of features to add.
It still knows when you send, your IP and the details of which IP are being bundled together.
But they can still track everytime you interact with it?
As long as there is not third party, no server anywhere, it may work.
Yep, and we do have them. We have onchain, lightning alone, lightning +zaps, cashu wallets, payment targets using Monero and other chains, we even have Venmo and Bank integrations.
Make onchain great again.

AI helps with efficiency. It’s a good time I think.
yeah you should both come hang out there 🫂
My last quarterly report to @nprofile…uazd had more new features that all previous quarters combined.
We live in weird times...
Bitcoin is nothing. No crypto is anything.
If you’re a sex trafficker and you want to take payment for a child sex slave, sure then it’s useful. It’s not going to make you money. Period. Unless it’s a crypto you start and manipulate idiots into buying it to make yourself rich.
Ala, TrumpCoin. What happens if we all created our own cryptocurrency? Because we absolutely could, right? How would there be any value in that? Why should we trust a stranger’s “money” over a government backed currency?
That sounds “retarded” to me.
"good reviews" doesn't tell the whole story, are the stars all you're looking at? I read what the reviews actually say to determine if it's a good fit for me. If 2/6 this year are running Zeus with nodes separate from their phones, why not all-in-one if it's super-easy to do so?
1/6 says: "not syncing" - syncing with what?
The more-substantive 1/6 says: "this is a scam project and should be delisted from play store the Wallet only Recieve funds and doesn't work or do anything, even to close the channel i can't so I'm stuck and unable to withdraw or do anything" - um WTF is that a Zeus problem or a Lightning problem Zeus had no warning/mitigation instruction for?
The remaining 2/6 are 5-stars but vague; no description of their use cases, just reviews that read like ad copy.
But yes, I voted that one you quoted from Dec 2025 as unhelpful. Not sure if the one right before that said "Use the custodial Wallet of Satoshi instead" because everything before that was true & they were really driven over to custodial, or if it was just made up, though I have had that happen on Android apps before.
Didn't want to look too far back because at some point, the reviews are only about issues that were resolved in newer versions.
Oof. Trying to stop open dev discussions on Nostr. Not cool, man.
Sure, we are not a blockchain. But traceability doesn't require a blockchain.
In fact, it is better for those tracing us that the information is not on-chain so that they can have something to sell.
But I digressed. If you want zaps for social signals, you need them public. If they are public, people can trace... by IP, by npub, by time, by relay queries, by blossom usage, by NWC breadcrumbs, by lightning channel closures, by buying data from your ISP provider, etc, etc, etc.
If you think you are untraceable in say.. Nostr lightning zaps.. you are not understanding the attack surface yet.
Please do it I'll send you tokens
See if resetting your index and search relays help. Also check how many relays you are connecting. If it is too low, Tor is not working.
I am investigating a similar issue. Let me know if it resolves it.
I use phoenix as like a cold (?) wallet and cashu as a wallet for like day to day spending. To be honest I think onchain can be less of a privacy nightmare considering like.. when you send onchain to phoenix, it gets swapped to LN, also onchain address itself rotates too afaik so.. I think it's fine to use it this way? I dunno, I know nothing about Bitcoin.
Well calling someone stupid and retarted is not the best argument.
On nostr, it does. Everything is traceable here.
?
Are you implying that I "ad hominem attacked" someone? Where?
Please let me know so I can rectify the situation. I'm serious.
Public does not equal traceable.
Phoenix can receive to a Bolt12 offer
But I think the problem is that only a few Nostr clients are able to send zaps to Bolt12. But that will improve
In fact, I'm not even sure where in the kind0 (or suitable alternative kind) a user is supposed to advertise their Bolt12 offer
... and for the owners of capital!

I know nothing about Bitcoin, but you seem cool.
Very sad this reaction of Der @nprofile…9ccm
Hi Alex! Is there like truly no other solution to make zaps with like no ux issues? Just asking to see whether that's even possible, and what are possible advantages and disadvantages there might be.
"So Nostr is Bitcoin? Does it use the blockchain?"
Old answer: haha, sort of. Actually it doesn't use the blockchain it uses relays. And actually it shares many of the same cryptography as Bitcoin but it's actually completely different
New answer: Yes
The fact it's retarded is the very thing that makes it good.

Ah so my client contacts their servers and they push it onto the blockchain on my behalf?
I see
@npub1utx…50e8 could be the first to do this because he hates remote signers anyway.
It does, but the signing part has been in NAK for ages, and i had no issue creating various libsecp256k1implementations using whatever language under the sun (well....eventually i had not problems :P)
The tricky part is perhaps the remote signing part, which i did implement via that amber-fork and that works. I also implemented into NAK and gave it to the jungle spirit to have a look, i suppose it works but have not tested it.
Il drop the standards the robot came up with for this stuff soon so y'all can have a look at what is sensible. Finishing up a project first and then il clean up my digital desk and present all of it
@nprofile…wywf (Android) not showing blossom content from Primal's blossom server as of late, just the URL. And why do I see only like ten of my own notes in my profile? I have done the relay sync thingy, the show up in @nprofile…2f0t and they should also be on my Citrine.
@nprofile…2f0t asking me to sign a wallet authorization event (["exchange_rate",{}]) every few seconds, why?
