Any of these, will do the outbox feed gathering. But I think it works best on the "outbox feed" (strfry based) or the "newlay relay" (a new relay) ones.

go to https://feeds.relay.tools, and sign in and select the basic plan to start.. Then if you like it, you may want to try the newlay one later. (this is a new project, relaytools 2.0 basically, and it lives at feeds.relay.tools). Sorry if that's confusing :) We tryin' haha

I guess what I mean is, I already have a bunch of relays, and I use this one as my main "browsing" a feed type source, because yes it saves TONs of bandwidth and battery. I rarely use a client that assembles a feed, because it's just faster this way and I feel like it works just as well by offloading the construction of the feed to the relay. I've used nostr like this for a year+ now, I used to run this same setup on my raspberry PI and I liked it so much I decided to finally make it a service.

Depends on the client, I cant try nostur but Yea you can write to it, others can also tag you and write to it (it has personalized wot turned on by default for those direct posts but no filters for the feed itself, that depends on your own relay settings and your follow list). I don't use it as a main relay its not in my relay list, I only use it like a cache.

I think it is, I use a client (RelayTools-android) that only connects to one relay at a time for it's feed, so I can use less data, check my notifications, and have a quicker app. Then it connects to other relays only when I'm posting, to send the post. If apps support this type of mode, it can be helpful yes. I think amethyst might partially support it. It's like having a fast cache of the notes from your network, always collecting them in the background for when you want to read them.

Damus iOS does not do outbox, so it only reads from an unchanging set of relays, and you have to get lucky to see your friends posts. Outbox model reads from a dynamic set of relays where your friends post, so it can see all their notes by connecting to 2 or more relays from *their advertised relay lists. The feeds.relay.tools pulls in notes using outbox so that a client that does not do outbox can just connect to that relay and see them. Nostur does it's own outbox in addition. So, now instead of no outbox, there are multiple ways to read your outbox.

Took about a zillion pictures of this, because my head does not fit here, its the belt auto tensioner. And as far as I can tell, it did not hit it's stops. So that means, alternator is getting toasted with too much load causing the belt to slip. New belt ordered and gonna rewire get this circuit separated from house battery bank. Itz just too much. Engine must work. House is secondary..

When I'm out and about, and paying for every scrap of data, I use RelayTools-android. It has images/videos off by default (with only-on-wifi) options, only connects to one relay at a time, can upload to blossom my pics and say GM. AND HAS BEEN OPEN SAUCED VERY RECENTLY!

You need a better nostr client, I only saw your reply, on an aggregator relay which means you did not post to any of my (4) relays. But I found it anyway because I run a feed of damus and primal and check it sometimes for kicks...

RelayTools-android v1.3.1 released.
Fixed:
TLDR: the QR scanner I used had google tracking embedded, and thanks to nostr community, I kicked that to the curb.
ZXing is a plain-Java QR decoder, so swapping it in removed the tracker without changing how the scanner works.
The longer version:
What ZXing is. "Zebra Crossing" — an old, battle-tested open-source barcode library from ~2008. Crucially, it's pure Java: just math that finds and decodes QR patterns in a grayscale image. No Google Play Services, no native binaries, no network calls, no telemetry. That's the whole reason for the swap — ML Kit did the same job but bundled Google's analytics/transport machinery, which is what zapstore flagged as a tracker.
