Getting local communities is the best imo - organizing meetups, getting merchants to accept bitcoin together and then using it at those merchants. Also doing bitcoin classes is good (e.g. using Mi Primer Bitcoin as the workbook)

On nostr there are a bunch of positive folks developing some cool decentralized networking solutions/apps. It's more raw than mastodon though - people are very welcoming, but also call out bullshit and say things the way they want. Which is quite different from mastodon community.

Get them to start you on the scam, drag them as long as possible, but understand the scam in full. Is it just access to your email, is it buying gift cards for them, is it Internet banking faking, is it crypto stuff... I always try to get as far as I can, but in the end they always hang up on me.

I'm actually only somewhat familiar, but essentially make it super duper easy to integrate with; QuickBooks and Xero and pay attention to be compatible/comparable with Stripe, Square, Zoho (in the US). I suggest integrating with Zaprite on the bitcoin side - generally talk to John from Zaprite, that's a great idea anyway.
The integration should be just an option for the business to pick in some of your UIs - and on your website you should clearly highly which ones are you integrated with. Also have good parametrized exports into different formats.
Then it depends on business needs, you may need admin account that has more access and "bartender" accounts with limited options. You need to solve money returns, cancellations, etc.
