When we put the armor of light we are saints and assuming we continue to keep it on we enter heaven. We can take it off many times by I suppose if we keep putting it on we will finish the race.
I have a much larger than average working vocabulary.
Buuuut...
Reading Orthodox Church history requires constant reference to obscure (in vernacular use) words.
The reference work takes much longer than reading the dang books! 🫣

Oh, my name, it ain't nothin', my age, it means less
The country I come from is called the Midwest
I's taught and brought up there, the laws to abide
And that the land that I live in has God on its side
Oh, the history books tell it, they tell it so well
The cavalries charged, the Indians fell
The cavalries charged, the Indians died
Oh, the country was young with God on its side
The Spanish-American War had its day
And the Civil War too was soon laid away
And the names of the heroes I was made to memorize
With guns in their hands and God on their side
The First World War, boys, it came and it went
The reason for fightin' I never did get
But I learned to accept it, accept it with pride
For you don't count the dead when God's on your side
The Second World War came to an end
We forgave the Germans, and then we were friends
Though they murdered six million, in the ovens they fried
The Germans now too have God on their side
I learned to hate the Russians all through my whole life
If another war comes, it's them we must fight
To hate them and fear them, to run and to hide
And accept it all bravely with God on my side
But now we've got weapons of chemical dust
If fire them we're forced to, then fire them we must
One push of the button and they shot the world wide
And you never ask questions when God's on your side
Through many dark hour I been thinkin' about this
That Jesus Christ was betrayed by a kiss
But I can't think for you, you'll have to decide
Whether Judas Iscariot had God on his side
So now as I'm leavin', I'm weary as hell
The confusion I'm feelin' ain't no tongue can tell
The words fill my head, and they fall to the floor
That if God's on our side, he'll stop the next war

This statue comemorates Jan Hus, a Bohemian proto-reformer of the 14th century who preached in Czech at Bethlehem Chapel in Prague. This was unheard of during his day, when mass was held only in Latin, which most common men did not understand.
He was burned at the stake in Constance, Germany on July 6th, 1415 because, inspired by John Wycliffe, he wanted the Bible to be available in the language of the people and because he preached against indulgences, and other errors and corruption in the church.
The inscription on the base of the statue says, "For the Truth."

Dude, stop. Claiming "Bitcoin is/was a Cypherpunk thing" fundamentally misunderstands both Bitcoin's architecture and the foundational philosophy of the Cypherpunk movement. Bitcoin was never Cypherpunk, nor could it ever be. Sorry.
Firstly, Bitcoin is not anonymous; it is pseudonymous. Hiding behind a public key is a temporary illusion. Because the blockchain is a permanently immutable, globally accessible public ledger, it requires only one single slip-up -one KYC checkpoint, one IP leak, or one linked real-world identity- to deanonymize an entire history of transactions.
Secondly, a system that permanently records every single input, output, transaction amount, and timestamp for the entire world to see forever is antithetical to privacy. It doesn't protect data; it archives it for future exploitation. Today's advanced chain-analysis firms (like Chainalysis or Elliptic) have turned Bitcoin into a playground for corporate and state surveillance.
Thirdly, beyond the ledger itself, the network layer is highly vulnerable. By analyzing node propagation, IP addresses, and broadcasting device metadata, adversaries can accurately map the geographic locations of node operators and miners down to the second.
As Eric Hughes famously wrote in the Cypherpunk's Manifesto, "Privacy is necessary for an open society in the electronic age... Privacy is the power to selectively reveal oneself to the world." Bitcoin does not allow for selective revelation. It forces universal, eternal exposure. A technology that facilitates absolute financial transparency and predictable behavioral mapping is diametrically opposed to the privacy-centric liberty that the Cypherpunks actually fought for. If you are looking for true Cypherpunk tech, look into zero-knowledge proofs or privacy coins. Bitcoin is just another NFT.

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.”
- Ephesians 5:22-33 KJV
Do you even own a Bible?
Jesus loves the church deeply. Ephesians 5:25 says, "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." He sees the church as his bride, sacrifices for her, nourishes and cherishes her, and aims to present her holy and spotless.
On gathering together, Hebrews 10:24-25 puts it plainly: "Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."
Jesus himself says in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."
The early church modeled this in Acts 2:42: they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer, meeting daily with glad hearts.
And 1 Corinthians 12 pictures the church as one body with many members: we need each other to function, serve, and minister together. That’s where fellowship, worship, and ministry happen.
I think you are onto something here, because ultimately if bitcoin and Nostr are to be working anywhere, it's in Iran and Gaza. Of course there are things like internet blackouts that could make using these tools difficult, which from the little I know about Iran, it happens from time to time. Will bookmark this post, in case I get more brainwaves regarding this..blessed Sunday to you to sir 🤝
The tribe of Judah, the Jews, succeeded the twelve tribes of the Hebrew people, and Jesus Christ fulfilled their law and brought in the New Covenant, where He and His followers (the people of the way, later Christians) succeeded them.
The "religion" has always been for the true people of the God of Israel. When Jesus came, died, was resurrected, and ascended, the Kingdom expanded beyond the Jews to the Gentiles, such that the children of Abraham became all those who forsook the world and followed the Christ.
It was at that time that those still remaining in the Rabbinic/Talmudic world of the Jews forked off the longest, true chain of redemption.

I find it fascinating that you would think belief in God would make men emotionally weak and lead them to shun responsibility, when we have decades of research and observation proving that it's the opposite.
It's not an accident that so many Nostriches and Bitcoiners are religious. Religion frees you from the emotional clutches of the state and gives you more sense of personal agency and destiny.
Unless somethong new came out today, I stand by my post. Neither Luke nor Core want to harm Bitcoin.
Luke could act Machiavellian if he decided Bitcoin was incompatible with his Catholicism which csam could very well trigger but I don't think he intends to harm it now. I think he genuinely believes that bip110 can make a dent in spam.

Fun fact: Feb 12 is also the date of my first Nostr post, in 2023 👀
I like the way you think. It's very akin to our great overlords.
Living soil is the way. You should not need *any* added chemical fertilizers (organic nutrients included) whatsoever if you cultivate healthy soil. 💯
Fish emulsion and seaweed/kelp extract can help to give plants a boost as a foliar feed and/or to boost soil biology initially.
Fertilizers are essentially a bandaid that deplete soils over time. Plant health should never rely on continually added amendments. High quality compost, mulch and cover crops are the key to long term fertility that actually builds year over year. Your garden should produce all fertility necessary for a healthier and more productive crops each season.

What a masterpiece 😏. The 2026 World Cup alone, there have already been 317 goals so far. There are simply far more teams, and therefore far more matches.
Back in Miroslav Klose’s days, it was still under 150 goals per tournament.
Christians are not "at home in the world", we are temporary sojourners on pilgrimage to our Lord and Savior.
Anybody teaching a false gospel will answer to Jesus Christ on the judgment seat.

Thich Naht Hanh is a deciever with a false gospel. He turns communion into Buddhist mindfulness and the kingdom of God into the cosmos, then claims we are "of the same reality as Jesus".
Hahn turns the resurrection into a mindfulness technique anyone can practice, saying: "If Jesus Christ could do it, then we human beings like him can also do it." He says that Christ is not the sole mediator.
In Thich's deception, Buddhism sets the boundaries and Christianity gets rewritten to fit. The historic Buddha and the historic Christ cannot be reconciled: one points to extinction with no personal God, the other is God in the flesh who came to save.
Reject Hahn, follow Christ.

Zazen is not neutral. It's designed for Buddhist emptiness, no-self, and self-enlightenment, not Christian mind renewal by Scripture (Rom 12:2). Using it risks importing incompatible ideas.
In love, I think you should confess/repent and pivot to Holy Meditation, instead. Obtain everything and depend on God alone. Do not be decieved.

I think that's the bit one has to form one's own opinion. During the england Argentine game, england went 1-0 up. The chap working in the bar said to me that I must be happy. My response was don't really care, am only kinda English but it makes no difference, score will be 2-1 to Argentina at the end. He asked me why I said that and my response was that's the correct humiliation script while Argentina goes through. He gave me a funny smile at the end of the game. For me, just gut feel but got it correct. At the end of the day, it you get a little entertainment from it and don't take it seriously, fundamentally who cares? But would be nice to have something a little more real.... Whatever real is

Mike Malagies @MMalagies
Alan Watts was an enemy of Jesus Christ. He openly mocked the virgin birth, resurrection, and the need for salvation through Jesus. He teaches a false gospel that leads people away from Christ.
The "religion of Jesus" Watts pushes is just his own Eastern-flavored spirituality. He calls the biblical Jesus a "human freak" who was "unnaturally born and whose corpse was weirdly reanimated". He says the most reverent act is to destroy the church's image of him.
True Christianity has always been a religion about Jesus: His life, death, and resurrection as the only way to the Father.
Zen, an esoteric religion of self actualization and self enlightenment, is not neutral and not compatible with Christianity.
Reject Watts, follow Christ.

Jesus didn't operate from His own judgment, He submitted Himself fully to the authority of the Father. He repeatedly said he could do nothing by himself and sought not his own will but the will of the one who sent Him. He judges as he hears, and his judgment is just because it's not His own.
This is our model. It is the opposite of Zen self actualization through meditation and enlightenment. Jesus shows that we should be entirely dependent on God, not ourselves.
Anything not from the Father is of the world. Zen is not neutral and it is not compatible with Christ.

Luke 17:21 is Jesus telling the Pharisees the kingdom of God is already among or within them. It's not a future visible spectacle but a present spiritual reality.
Zen folks often interpret this as "look inside for enlightenment," but the context is the kingdom arriving through Christ, not self-realization.
Be careful trusting your own judgment on matters of life or death.
"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure" - Jeremiah 17:21
Christians are to test the things of the world to see if they are of God.
"Explore" sounds more like indulging in the things of the world, which Christians should abstain from.
Zen Buddhism is not of God. The goal of a Christian is to fill the mind with the things of God, to commit God's word to his heart, and not to empty the mind or attempt to enhance the "experience of living".
Christians are temporary pilgrims. We are of another nation. We are do not belong to this world.

When building out your Bible library, it's good to choose a Bible from a few translation traditions. 📖🙏
For example:
- LSB for high formal equivalence.
- ESV for essentially literal, day to day reading.
- CSB for optimal equivalence, balancing easy reading while retaining most idioms, theology, and literary forms.
- NLT for hyper readable, trading off accuracy.
Both the CSB and especially the NLT start to decay from being pushed into modern, liberal English. But they are exceptionally readable, so with proper discernment, they can enhance your overall comprehension dramatically.
I make my home with the ESV+LSB, which are trustworthy but take much time and study to comprehend well, and then venture out into the CSB and even the NLT when beneficial.
Any modern, less literal translation should be marked up to defend yourself:
I highlight in red gender inclusive renderings, writing the Colorado Springs guideline next to it, in red, in the margins. I do the same when the textual rendering is too liberal, or compromises age old reformed doctrines.

Perpetual Christmas mood until morale improves. Hope my people will start smiling again. The simple things in life.
The past few weeks have been pretty hard with all the trifling shenanigans. It seems like the devil has hands for me to catch sometimes.
Yet also, people have been crawling out of the woodwork to help me, help my puppy, help make my dreams for my community group into reality.
On top of that there is just the delightful character of this region. When I said I wanted to go back home, it was this type of culture and community. Joking and laughing with strangers in line at the grocery store. Random people giving me high fives in parking lots.
Someone slipped this note into my purse while I was out one day. (Yes my opsec is terrible and apparently my bag often just gapes open in crowded public places. It's fine for now 😅)
I feel so blessed and loved and lucky to be here where I can feel so connected to the people around me 🥰🙌🥰

Interesting theory... Christianity seems complicated to be the result of trade wars. There would be a lot of smart theologians who obsessively went down rabbit holes and wrote volumes about it.
... But that would be funny.
I confess I'm confused about the concept of "missionaries". They seem like intelligent assets of a sort.
But I love traveling and generally meeting people of other cultures. The ones that approach the foreigner are usually brave/eccentric
Or motivated to get something/sell something.
Either way, it's like a machine with new buttons to push.
Some people just need to travel. The younger ones in the family or the black sheep.
Prioritize love for God (Deut 6:5); disordered "all love" ignores holiness/sin.
"Idolatry and false worship empty true knowledge of God; Zen's impersonal void fits this."
