Come considerazione personale penso che ark e spark assieme a boltz siano la più grande piaga che il mondo bitcoin abbia.
Centralizzazione e complessità create da sviluppatori pieni di buone intenzioni che vorrebbero scalare si bitcoin ma finanziati da gruppi profondamente legati al mondo Fiat.
Frasi come "noi di ark ti permettiamo...." non sono proprio ascoltabili da un bitcoiner,
Joseph Poon e Thaddeus Dryja non userebbero mai quelle parole e quei concetti.
Lightning non é uno Swift, é il sistema, seppur complicato e con molti compromessi, più indistruttibile, istantaneo e sicuro che ci sia su bitcoin.
So che é difficile ma é meglio che ripensino il loro concetto di layer2

Non direi che ha fallito nella decentralizzazione anzi 17000 nodi pubblici attivi e collegati é un ottima rete molto resiliente.
Chiaro che non é end user avere un lnd su un server a casa.
Ma utilizzare Zeus o Phoenix pagando un canale attivo non é molto diverso che pagare il refresh del VUTXO
Scalare bitcoin é un impresa difficile, ma mi irrita quando sento "vi permettiamo" o "sviluppiamo tecnologie open" dove le società che ci stanno dietro sono chiaramente gente che non é riuscita ad entrare nel mondo finance e adesso ci prova con bitcoin.
Ark e Spark ad oggi non usano le blind signature quindi sanno esattamente chi paga chi.

Bisogna ammettere però che Lightning ha un po' fallito dal punto di vista della decentralizzazione, dato che l'eccessiva scomodità portata dall'autogestione del proprio nodo ha fatto si che i servizi custodial come Wallet of Satoshi avessero la meglio. Di fatto, la rete LN è dominata da pochi fornitori di wallet famosi. Detto questo è comunque l'unico L2 valido su Bitcoin.
For self-custodial spending specifically you’ll need an NWC enabled Lightning wallet. I use my Lightning node with @npub1get…0nfm and its AlbyHub.
1. Create and verify your account on @npub1wvs…33pu (card is available for Europeans)
2. Order your virtual or physical card. Virtual can be added on mobile wallets for contactless payments
3. Set up an NWC connection between your LN wallet and your wavespace account
4. Choose the minimum single transaction you want to be able to pay with the card. This amount will be held custodially for payment authorizations. Can be as low as you want - this is your de facto custodial risk.
5. Each time you pay with the card, the exact same amount of BTC is pulled from your connected LN wallet
No need to touch anything after setup. Sats flow from self-custody automatically, as per your set permissions on NWC

4-6, but it also depends on what else is going in. I often have leftover roast beast on hand, so making a steak and egg scramble for brunch doesn't require as many eggs.

I believed so as well for the first 5-10 years. Later, as I got older I realised it's in most cases just a mixture of ignorance, fear and uncertenty. Give you an example: when I first started experimenting I was still living in communist Jugoslavia and the attitude towards drugs was extremly negative because nobody and I mean nobody in authority had *any* idea that they actually functions very differently. They though heroin is the same as grass. It was complete ignorance and fear. Later when we transitioned to a half decent capitalist country and the politicians werem't just all drunk old Partizans from WW2 anymore the laws changed for the better and sentencings became much lighter and more sane. They started differentiationg between hard drugs and soft drugs like grass. Also the atitude of population changed dramatically over the last 15 years. Think about the fact tthat just 15 years ago there was zero legalisation progression in places like USA and that after 2 generations fighting for it for like 50 years prior. The reason wasn't 'racism' or even 'oil companies' as I was told repeatedly for years, but simply ignorance and fear. When you have just one word ( 'drug' ) for the whole set of completely different chemicals it's no wonder that people who don't experiment witht them to just imagine them all as 'bad' on the level of heroin or meth. What they see is a junkie on the street bothering them or worse. And they hear horrible stories which are also mostly true. When drugs come to town, the town usually goes to shits because 'drugs' in reality doesn't mean MDMA or LSD or psylocybine (I could go on ;) ) but 'meth' or 'heroin'. It's what people can see with their eyes.
What we should actually do if we want to make this right is to use different words for different types of substances. In the 60's 'psychadelics' was used and then mostly forgotten in the 80's. But in the 90's a better, more precise, word became popular: 'entheogens'. It's a perfect word for the type we're discussing here. If we used such clasifications regularly people outside of experimental circles would start to differentiate between them as well and from there it's an easy step to sane legalisation laws.

Strange there are no age limit restrictions or warnings when buying the devices or sim cards etc would that not have been a better place to start? Or that would mean it was actually about protecting kids.
